1995 Isuzu Trooper - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Isuzu Trooper's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed Isuzu Trooper completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all Isuzu Troopers
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your Isuzu Trooper's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Very strong magnets and plenty of length on the cord for a car in tow.

by:

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser with Manual Transmission with Stowmaster Tow Bar
I, too, drive a manual PT Cruiser! There are 5 items needed to flat tow a vehicle: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking. For base plates you can use # 278-1. These base plates are compatible with your Stowmaster tow bar. For safety cables I recommend # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground. For lighting, if you will not be towing the vehicle very often, I reocmmend a magnetic light kit, # RM-2120. For a more permanent solution...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2004 Ford Mustang GT Behind a Motor Home
The instructions for Roadmaster base plates, # 466-1, do not indicate any fascia trimming or removal on the 2004 Ford Mustang. I have included a link to the instructions for you. For a compatible tow bar a popular option is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. I have linked its instructions and a video for you to view. You will also need safety cables such as # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables helps keep them off of the ground. For lighting you are probably going to want to go with a magnetic...

  • Light Kit Recommendation to Flat Tow a 2008 Buick Enclave
In order to wire the Buick Enclave to be flat towed by the Alpine motorhome, I recommend a removable light kit like # RM-2120. Then all you would need is a 7-Way to 4-Way adapter like # PK12716. The vehicle manufacturer advises against splicing into the vehicle wiring so I do not recommend wiring in diodes or a separate bulb kit.

  • Blue Ox Base Plates for 2002 Jeep Wrangler
The Roadmaster Base Plate to Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter, part # RM-033 is not included with the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar. You would only need the adapter if your Jeep is already equipped with the Roadmaster Base Plates. If you do not yet have the base plates for your Jeep, we now carry Blue Ox base plates. For a C-channel bumper, use base plate part # BX1118, or # BX1120 for a double-tube bumper. When possible, it is best to use a tow bar and base plate from the same manufacturer. To provide...

Both the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar part # BX7420 with a 10,000 lb capacity and the Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar part # BX4370 with a 7,500 lb. capacity will both be really good at handling your 5,200 lb. 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Of the two you get more bang for your buck with the Avail in my opinion. More cost effective and a little tougher so longer lasting. Of course there are several items needed to flat tow any vehicle. For a compatible base plate the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1128 is...

  • Wiring a 1993 Ford Ranger to Flat Tow Behind RV
If you're looking for the easiest solution, a magnetic mount lamp kit like part # RM-2120 would be a good choice. The kit is easy to install and very easy to use. For a more permanent solution, a diode kit like part # RM-154 would be the way to go. The magnetic mount lamp system would allow the taillights used when flat towing to remain completely independent of the wiring system of your Ranger. However, running the wires can be time consuming. The diode kit would be more complicated...

The Roadmaster Deluxe Magnetic Tow Lights part # RM-2120 you are referring to are designed to be placed on the rear of the vehicle in a flat tow situation. If you are wanting to tow a trailer with your 2017 Hyundai Tucson, then you will want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118501 as this will allow you to hook up your vehicle's tail lights to your trailer tail lights while towing. • Tow Bar Wiring that Bypasses Tail Light Wiring on a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
I checked with Roadmaster and the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, is not recommended for your 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk due to limited available space in the tail light housing for the bulbs. Another option that bypasses the vehicle wiring is to use a kit such as # RM-2120 if you have a horizontal surface to attach them. This kit has a part of the bracket that you would close into the rear hatch which holds the lights in place. Or, to keep the lights off of the vehicle, you could use...

These are red lenses and to get the black out look you will have to paint it. I do not offer a blacked out version. Double check the diameter of your light to ensure this does in fact match yours. The outside diameter of the lens should be 4 5/16" for this to work out. If you have something different let me know.
