The base plate bolts securely to the chassis with no welding required. Each bracket is precisely welded for strength and tested to the vehicle’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). This kit holds up against road grime and weather thanks to its co-cured protective finish. A high-gloss black powder coat is layered over a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating inside and out, so it stays looking sharp and resists corrosion over the long haul.
You don’t need welding gear or special tools to get this mounted. The kit comes complete with the base plate, safety cables, and all installation hardware needed for a secure fit. Base Plates mounted on my 2022 Ford Bronco is holding up 100. Great quality finish that has not rusted. I have seen base plates from other companies being installed on Broncos and they are making major modifications. Not my Curt Custom Base Plates. An easy DYI with no major modifications. We have towed our Bronco 13,000 miles behind our Class A and its a flawless tow. These base plates were also priced much better then other brands. Thank you Etrailer!
