The Konig XB-16 Pro tire chains are great all-purpose, winter weather chains. If you live in an area where you're likely to get periodic snow and ice, these Konig chains are perfect because they're durable and easy to mount. If you're more likely to see seriously icy conditions, you may want a chain with V-bar links that can really bite into the ice to give you maximum traction.
These chains are among the easiest and fastest to install because they have built-in tensioners that you can just pull taut to adjust the fit. These tensioners allow the chains to fit your tires, no matter the profile or wear pattern. And because the tensioners are built-in, you never have to worry about losing them like you might with other chains on the market.
If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.
We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.
You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. Even these low-profile chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.
Installing these chains is incredibly simple.
1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks in the chains.
2. Slide the chain behind the tire and connect the ends of the blue cable, which will sit behind the tire.
3. Around front, connect the red hook to the red link.
4. At the bottom of the tire, feed the tensioning chain through the large clip and tug it until it's tight.
5. Feed the tensioning chain through as many red clips along the side chain as you can, leaving room to still be able to stretch the hook across the tire. Attach the hook to the side chain directly across from the last clip you ran the tensioner through. The hook should face away from your tire.
6. Drive forward around 325' (about the length of a football field) and stop. Check the chains and tighten them as needed.

After having these for a full winter season, I can say that they were well worth the purchase. 4.5 stars. Traction was supreme, and ease of install and removal is everything they say - awesome! Removed a star only because the plastic clips that route the little tensioning chain were quickly broken, and the rubber end is marginal. However when installed on my 2wd truck, I pulled a small box trailer up and down a very icy and steep slope (dirt road at scout camp) - without a hint of wheelspin. Same area immediately before chain install had cars and 4wd trucks stuck on a gentle grade. These are not smooth at all on pavement, but a lifesaver when needed.
Theses were exactly what I was looking for, easy and quick to install while not breaking the bank. Been using them for two days now and no problems or concerns as of yet.

The Konig tire chains were very easy to install. I was concerned the fit might be dificult as my 21" wheels on my Cayenne were at the upper limit of the size offered but the fit is tight with no play. Excellent product.

Very fast shipping considering the storms, rec'd in less than a week. This is my second set and I got them because of how easy they where to put on my Sienna and how well they worked. This set is for my Grand Cherokee, its 4wd, but I like to have the extra margin of safety. People may give me looks for putting chains on a 4wd, but I'll do what I think its best for my family.
We purchased these chains for emergency purposes and have not used them yet. I’ve only put them on and taken them off to test fit. They seem to be sturdy and good quality. We like the small link size.
Bought these for some trips to the NC mountains and finally got to use them in January. I was very impressed with how well these worked. Pulling out of the driveway was nearly impossible until I put them on and had instant traction. Once I figured them out, they installed in just a few minutes. Taking them off after driving was a messy experience due to the wet, dirty snow but very easy.

I'm new to snow chains never even seen them before living in South. I bought these for a trip to Montana. The chains look to be good quality and delivery time was excellent. The chains also come with a sturdy plastic case for storage.

Fantastic product that fit perfectly.
Package arrived extremely quickly and fit perfectly on my tires. I haven't used them out in the wild yet but they installed easily so i don't expect any trouble. The pack is sturdy plastic and thoughtfully set up, so much so, that it comes with some plastic gloves and a plastic pad for the ground if needed.

After a season where Ive been forced California to mount the Konig tire chains twice on almost a dry road I am very happy with the speed of mounting and the relatively quiet operation. They also show no signs of damage due to the dry roads.
