I purchased size 265 chains for my 2017 Ford Explorer, will they fit even though my tires require size 245?

Sometimes there is overlap between tire chains sizes, but for the tire size of 245/60-18 that you have installed on your 2017 Ford Explorer the Thule XB16 tire chains you'd need are the part number # th01571250 and not the part # TH01571265 that you referenced.
