Installing a Tailgate Assist takes just a few minutes using the included hardware, and you don't have to drill into your truck bed. Only one Tailgate Assist kit is necessary for your tailgate. This is year 2 of having the ezdown gas shock & its surprising still working Perfect my tailgate is up-and-down at least 12 times A-day So it is really getting put to the test.

Thank you for your review on DZ43200.The Deezee instructions say to tighten with 9 turns. Generally that is the amount of turns it takes to get it tight. If the blind nut is still loose, you can continue tightening until it is tight. Just avoid overtightening the because it can strip the threads. I hope this helps.
