Question:
2014 RAM 2500, Big Horn Is a special tool needed to pop-off the installed DZ shock from ball joints? I dont want to break shock but its hard to remove. Shock is covering T-25 screw removal needed to replace burnt out brake light. System has worked great for several years of use.

No special tool is needed to remove the # DZ43200 tailgate assist, you'll just need to pull in a slow steady manner and it will pop off. You can try hitting the spot where the shock meets the ball with a spray lubricant and letting it soak for a few minutes before pulling.
Or, you could use a # 50 torx to remove the cable bolt which will allow the plate that the ball is attached to to come off.
