Question:

I have 2014 Ford F-150. I keep snapping the ball mount. Any idea why and how I can get a replacement?

To replace the ball mount bracket portion of the DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43200 you can use part # BKT43200, which infludes the torx wrench, nutsert tool, and plate. The ball mount is not available by itself.

I'm not quite sure why this piece is braking on your setup. I recommend making sure that the ball mount is properly torqued to 8 foot pounds when installing it and that you are using thread lock on the threads to help keep it in place. Also make sure that the threads on the nutsert aren't stripped. This can be caused by overtightening the nutsert on the tailgate.

The nutsert should be tightened at least nine 360 degree turns. After nine turns you should continue to tighten an additional 1 to 2 turns only if it can still be rotated/moved.
