Published 12/26/2014 >
Question:
I am having trouble with the insert. It is loose inside the hole of the tailgate after using the provided tool and making the 9 turns. It has expanded some and the insert wont come out of the hole. Can you provide any assistance in providing a way to get the insert tight. thanks.

Expert Reply:
When tightening the insert of the DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43200 in your tailgate it is not required that you only tighten it 9 turns. Generally that is the amount of turns that gets it tight, but if after 9 turns it is still loose you can continue to tighten it until the insert has expanded enough that it is tight.
