Steel Lug Nut Inserts

Lionshead Aluminum Wheels with Steel Lug-Nut Inserts

This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Very happy with the product. Excellent quality.

by:

Product was as described , no bs wheels are nice

by:

They fit great. Came on time. And look great on my fifth wheel

by:

Wheels look just as expected. Wheels are shipped in a cardboard box without any protection for the front of the wheels. Two of the four have scratches.

by:

I needed a new wheel for my TT after having one jettison off the trailer somewhere along the highway after a camping trip. etrailer had the right one at a fair price and quick delivery.

by:

Excellent products ..great price ! Fast shipping ..wheels fit perfect and looks great !

by:

Nice looking aluminum wheel. Upgrading from 15 to 16" wheels. As usual, eTrailer shipped fast, kept me in the know with what is going on and was super helpful with questions that I had prior to my purchase.

by:

Ordered 5 of these wheels to upgrade those on a boat trailer. One of the wheels that was shipped was a different style than what was ordered. Placed a call and had the correct wheel delivered in a few days with a return label for the odd wheel. Great customer service seems to be a thing of the past but it is still alive and well at etrailer.com.

by:

Nice looking, well made wheel. Like the fact that they were 16 x 7 and not 16 x 6 like my previous aluminum wheels sidewall stays a little bit more true on these The steel Pressed in inserts are nice too. I coat those in a little tef gel since this Trailer is in and out of saltwater.

See what our Experts say about this Lionshead Trailer Tires and Wheels

  • Trailer Wheel Replacement that is Size 16x7
The wheel size you have is a 16 inch diameter that is 7 inches wide which is not super common but we do have a coupler options like with the Aluminum Mod wheel part # LHJM513 that has a 3,750 lb or for a more interesting look we also have the Aluminum Eagle Wheel part # LH32FR which has a 4,080 lb capacity. Both of these have the same 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Hey James, the Lionshead wheel part # LH32FR is compatible with disc brake setups but I am curious what capacity and brand of disc brakes that you have. These wheels are black with quite a bit of silver trim on it.

  • 16" x 7" Replacement Wheels for 2009 Jayco Designer 35RLSA
Hi Eugene; we only have a handful of 16" x 7" wheels so I will list them all below. To make sure they can handle 110+ psi you can use the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906 which is rated up to 200 psi. For wheels you can choose from the following: -Aluminum Modular Trailer Wheel - 16" x 7" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 - Silver # LHJM513 -Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel - 16" x 7" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 - Glossy Black # LH32FR -Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel - 16" x 7" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 - Matte Black...

  • Trailer Wheel Center Cap For The Lionshead Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel # LH32FR
4.88" Hey Jeremy, The Lionshead Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel - 16" x 7" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 # LH32FR has a 4.88" pilot hole so the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Center Cap w/ Snap-In Plug # LHCS109-SI60C and Americana Trailer Wheel Center Cap # AM90156C would be the only two compatible options we currently offer. These are both stainless steel with a removable center cap so that you still have access to any grease zerk fittings on the spindle.

  • Availability Of Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel In A 15" x 6"
That appears to be the Aluminum Eagle wheel from Lionshead. We currently only carry this wheel in an 8 lug 16" x 7". Our most similar wheel in a 15x6 is the Aluminum Liger Trailer Wheel # LH49FR. This is similar in design and color to your wheel but certainly not a direct match. A lot of these Lionshead wheels are OE only, but it may be worth contacting Lionshead directly to inquire on availability.

  • Lug Nut Recommendation for a 16" Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel
You'll need a taller lug nut for the Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel # LH32FR otherwise your tools might damage the wheel. For your application I recommend using the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # LHLR110 which has a stainless steel construction so these will last a long time.

  • Does Taskmaster Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel Come in a 16" x 8" Size
The widest 16" wheels we have only go up to 7" wide and are the following parts: - Aluminum Modular Trailer Wheel # LHJM513 - Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel # LH32FR - Aluminum Hi-Spec Series 6 Trailer Wheel # AM22697 - Aluminum HWT Star Mag Trailer Wheel with +5 mm Offset # AM22691 I double checked with Taskmaster and they do not offer the Vesper in a 16" x 8" configuration either. An 8" wide wheel is pretty unusual, so if you're using standard trailer tires they should fit the 16"...

  • What Is the PSI Rating of the Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel
Since the valve stems on the Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel # LH32FR has some rubber reinforcement between the threads this wheel should be rated somewhere between 80 - 100 PSI. To be absolutely certain before filling your tires, I recommend looking at what is stamped on the wheels on either the inside or outside of the rim.
