This wheel is ready for high-pressure valve stems like the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906, which fits its .625" mounting hole. Matching the right stem helps you get full air pressure performance out of your tires—ideal for setups running higher psi or heavy load range tires. It’s a straightforward upgrade that makes sure every component works together safely and efficiently.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I bought these to use temporarily, but when installed on the trailer we liked them better than the wheel that came with the trailer.

This rim is for a 1997 vermeer chipper, I purchased it because we need a spare tire for it. The rim is really nice looking and the same design as the stock rims. It cost $460 to have road side service fix your flat on a commercial vehicle. The price for a this rim and a tire $128, I hate going out and doing jobs when the repairs are almost as much as my jobs mainly if you have a crew to pay also. Plus the down time waiting for the road service to get to you. Now we do the repairs ourself save money and not 3 hours or more down time. Etrailer has great products and the price is great also. I payed shipping because the price is perfect, and they get it to you right away.. Thanks etrailer. Will be a long time customer..
A year later they are still the nicest part of my old horse trailer. I went from the 15" wheel to these in a 16" size and the old 4 horse tows better than it ever has with my horses in it. Thanks etrailer!

These 5 Dexstar wheels were my 2nd set of Dexstar wheels. The first in 2001 when Dexter axle still owned and operated Dexstar.
It was frustrating to realize the sloppy manufacturing quality when compared to my originals. Specifically, 4 of the 5 wheels had quite visible lateral runout.
And, of course I didn't realize until I went to pickup my new wheels and tires from tire dealer mounting and saw the 4 of the 5 wheels with the largest amt of wheel weights I have ever seen on light truck tires covering up to 1/3 of the rim face front and rear.
After dismounting & checking with a dial indicator, one was .048", one other was over .030, & didn't bother to check the others. One wheel was straight, however.
4 of 5 wheels had quality checking pen marks on the rear of the wheels - so they did undergo some type of human inspection.
Phone calls plus eMails to Dexstar request lateral runout production tolerance specifications, and casual 'hey can you help me out here ' inquiries as to what criteria they used for warranty replacements, all met with no response.
Focused pursuit of a response from Dexstar mfg over 5 days and a wkend resulted in discovering that Dexstar had only one person assigned to quality, who also is responsible for determining warranty work. [It's been over 2 wks and still no response].
No wheel specification documentation is available from Dexstar website or googling.
I'm now under the impression that Dexstar's business model like others, requires that their distributors deal with these types of issues, and not directly with the manufacturer.
Again, it was painful to witness such deterioration of quality since my first set of wheels, and yet they are still manufactured here in the U.S. This is one of a very few occasions in the past 20ys that I would give a single star in a review.
In addition to the tolerance issues, the powder coating was questionable on 3 of the 5, and most of the wheels chipped (albeit small) rather easily wherever the tire mounting machine touched the wheels. My original painted wheels were quite durable for the first 12 yrs in the sun.
But it all worked out even better in the end as eTrailer.com didn't hesitate to offer choices of a solution from a refund to upgrades to correct this. eTrailer topped it off with literally a painless return process.
Product arrived on time, as described, and phone support helped me get the right one. Will buy again.
The AM20746 wheel was purchased as a spare. The product was exactly as depicted on the web site. Teresa was very professional and knowledgeable. The etrailer.com tracking feature was very detailed and also included a link to UPS tracking. This was my first purchase with etrailer but if future needs arise it will not be the last. I would highly recommend etrailer.

Rolling true and straight
Price was good, wheel were shipped quickly. Been on a stock trail for almost a year now and no signs of fading or rust. Will be using etrailer.com again in the future.
One of the boxes was ripped open from the rims. Have not unpacked yet. Need to put another layer of cardboard on each side of the rims once put in the shipping box. This would add another layer of protection. Thanks
The powdercoat falls off, revealing a porous gray primer underneath which immediately starts to rust. Those wheels look like heck. Shoulda just spent the money for a decent set of alloy rims for our horsetrailer.
The new wheels are beautiful. The best part is they are made in the U.S.A.!
Two gripes:
1. One of the wheels showed up with a couple minor scratches on them. Not ideal but given they are trailer wheels and I am on a time line to get racing, I didn't want to go through the process of exchanging it.
2. I wish they offered more options for colors and maybe a chrome or polished aluminum.
Ordered 6 rims for my triple axle toyhauler to upgrade from trailer tires to LT tires. Rim have been perfect with zero signs of rust...great powdercoating!
Attached pic shows 2 of the new 16" rims installed with LT tires compared to the old black 15" rims with a trailer tires.
Wheel are nice and made in USA. Boxing was sufficient.
HOWEVER, it was shipped UPS and the box came torn and the one wheel had several spots where the powder coat was chipped.
They really need to stop using UPS as they just don't care about handling items carefully.
The driver put in on a cement porch so loudly that I heard it from another floor away inside the house.
Ordered on August 10, arrived on August 13 ant noon. Fast shipping. Thank you. Towing 35' boat on triple axle trailer GVW 20K (3,333 lb per wheel). Needed this extra strength wheel to carry that load. Will do followup review after towing to Lake Powell.
