Hi, everyone. Steven here, with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at a quick splice self stripping connector. Folks, this is a 14, 16, or 18 gauge capability. It's a white, open port quick splice, and this basically is designed to splice into an existing wire without having to cut it, crimp it, or strip it. So what you'll literally do is you'll put the lead wire that you're wanting to tap into on the one side, and then on the other side you'll insert your wire that you're wanting to splice into it.
And then you'll literally crimp this middle piece down and that's gonna push the blade down inside and it will literally crimp it between both of those wires, and then you can close this up. It's gonna snap shut. Obviously you wanna do it tighter than what I have here by hand. And then presto, it's ready to go. So it's gonna provide two open channels for existing wire.
You will wanna use pliers, like I said, to squeeze down on the blade after the wires are in place. And that's gonna wrap up our quick look together, folks. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
