the tires on my horse trailer are ST235/85R16, would this be the correct rim for that tire size? they match as far as type and lug pattern.

Yes, you can use the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel item # AM20746 with a ST235/85R16 tire. This wheel has a 3,520 lbs capacity and 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern.
If you need a tire to go with this wheel, I recommend the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire item # TTWPRG235R16. We do not have any silver wheel tire combos that match your bolt pattern.
For this tire, you will want to use the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem item # AM20906.
