This 13" x 4-1/2" Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel is made for steady towing day after day. With a 1,480-lb capacity and DOT compliance, it handles the weight and stress of highway use with ease. The Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel uses a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and a +0.5" offset so the mounting surface sits slightly outside the rim’s centerline. This setup keeps the tire positioned just right under load while maintaining consistent tracking on the road. The pilot diameter measures 2.62", and the wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20 for straightforward fitment.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to review part number AM20214 this is the Dexstar 13 inch by 4 1/2 inch black conventional steel wheel with an off set and a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this wheel is a sturdy steel construction. Has a nice black powder coat finish over an e-coat primer to give you excellent corrosion resistance. They do that on the front and even the back of the wheel. Now, this wheel is considered a conventional design, does not have any spokes to it. The conventional design is designed to either accept the baby moon style hub cap or a regular hub cap. This is a high quality wheel, meets the department of transportation's specifications and this is a Dexstar wheel which is made in the USA. Now, a few specs on this, we're going to start with the diameter of the wheel and that's going to measured inside to inside. So, if I take a tape measure and if we go inside to inside you can see 13 inches for the diameter. The width is the same way, it's inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat and that is right at 4 1/2 inches.
So, 13 by 4 1/2 inches. Now, this wheel does use a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern and if you ever want to measure the bolt pattern on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs, what you have to do is pick any lug hole. We'll pick this one and then you will measure from this hole directly across to either one of these holes right across from it. But you have to remember you measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge to the hole that you go to. So, if we take our tape measure again and we'll put it on the bolt pattern. So, center of the starting hole to the furthest edge, it'll be right at 4 1/2 inches so 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt patter. Now, this wheel does use the wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch 20.
The pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer, the diameter of that opening is right at 2.6 inches. Now, the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,480 pounds. The last thing I want to mention to you on this wheel, is this wheel does have an offset. Now, most trailer wheels just do a zero off set. Meaning this mounting surface right here, when it is right in line with the center of the wheel, that's a zero off set. On this one, they actually have a 1/2 inch positive offset.
Now, with this mounting surface we'll move from the center to the outside face of the wheel, that's positive. If it would move . the mounting surface would move back this way, that's negative. So, this one, the mounting surface is a positive 1/2 inch. So, from the center it's moving out 1/2 an inch and that means the mounting surface is moving away the trailer.
Which will do the opposite, it will move the tire closer to the vehicle. Now, a lot of trailer wheels might have a small offset because they might need some clearance for breaks or something else under the trailer. So, that's why some of them might have an offset. But, this wheel does have a positive 1/2 inch offset. That should do it on the review of part number AM20214, this is the Dexstar 13 inch by 4 1/2 inch, black conventional steel wheel with an offset and a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

This is an exact duplicate of the original rims that were on my 20 year old boat trailer. I originally ordered this rim for a spare tire for a equipment trailer that I made from a old tandum axle boat trailer but it looks so good that I'll put it in service and use one of the original tires and rim as a spare. I am very pleased with this product.
This wheel was for a trailer spare tire and provided the needed offset to get proper positioning of the tire to the trailer and fender. This wheel offset was near impossible to find locally, but the online ordering was easy and delivery was quick.

Bought these to replace old rims I didn’t want to deal with painting. First these rims will ship together loose in a box with minimal protection. Nearly all of them have chipped paint around the lip of the rim. Annoying because I still have to paint these so they don’t rust, it’s small chips but I’d rather have my new expensive rims not look rusty as soon as I put them on. I’d have to pay shipping to return them making me stuck with them. There was also an issue with the website showing one price but then the price changes when I add to cart. Customer service was no help there, had to try to order several times over several days to get the correct price.
They are exactly as described. Look great on my trailer.

These wheels look great. They were packaged well and were delivered within a week. Free delivery too! I bought them to go on a 1971 Serro Scotty Hilander. I also bought the baby moon hubs to add a vintage look. They look awesome. The powder coat is a nice gloss black and looks to be good quality.
