Features to know about

Built for Everyday Hauling: 1,650-lb Capacity and DOT Compliance

This steel wheel is ready for serious work with a 1,650-lb capacity and construction that meets Department of Transportation standards. Whether it’s carrying weight day after day or rolling down the highway for long hauls, the sturdy design gives you confidence that it can handle the load safely.

Keeps Rust Away Season After Season: White Paint Finish Resists Corrosion

The durable white paint finish does more than look clean—it helps protect against rust and corrosion. That’s a big plus when your trailer faces moisture, road grime, or humid conditions. The finish holds up over time so your wheel keeps its strength and clean appearance without constant upkeep.

Straightforward Fitment and Setup: 5 on 4-1/2 Pattern, 2.81" Pilot, 0 Offset

Fitment is simple thanks to the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a 2.81" pilot diameter, and zero offset. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, giving you everything you need for a straightforward match to your existing hardware. This makes replacement or upgrading easy without extra guesswork.

Solid Foundation for Reliable Performance: 10" x 6" Steel Construction

With a rim that measures 10" in diameter and 6" wide, this steel wheel offers a stable base for compatible tires like the 205/65-10 or 20.5x8.0-10 sizes confirmed by users. The robust build and balanced proportions help maintain smooth towing and even tire wear under load, delivering durability that lasts trip after trip.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Americana Trailer Tires and Wheels - Wheel Only - AM20046

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Americana 10-inch by 6-inch white solid center steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. Now 10-inch trailer wheels like these are commonly found on utility trailers, snowmobile trailers, and even small boat trailers. It is a solid center design, and then they use a white powder coat finish over an E-coat primer to help resist rust and corrosion. Now this is a high-quality wheel.

It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. If you notice, it does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here, which is 2.81-inches. A few dimensions we're gonna measure on here for you is the diameter and the width.

Now, when you measure the diameter, you're gonna measure inside to inside. The reason you're doing that, when the tire's mounted on here, the tire bead will seat right here, so basically you're measuring from bead seat to bead seat. So inside measurement, it's gonna be right at 10-inches for the diameter. Now the width will be the same way. You're measuring bead seat to bead seat.

So inside to inside, right at 6-inches wide, and the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, it's an odd number of lugs. What you need to do is just pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this, it'll measure 4-1/2-inches.

So that means it's a five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size on this is 1/2-inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,650 pounds. But that should do it for a look at this Americana 10-inch by 6-inch white solid center steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern.

The rims that we carry do not include the valve stems like the pre-mounted tires and rims will. We do have a selection of valve stems available depending on the PSI of your tire.

by:

The rims were exactly what I was looking for. They're fitment for trailer and tire were perfect. I would recommend to anyone seeking a perfect rim.

by:

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND Super nice product Perfect fit

by:

All items look good and came through in good order except for one item. On one hub the hardware package failed, I found everything in the outer box except the rubber seal on one dust cover. No great loss as I already have dust covers with grease fitting and will not use the dust cover provided.

by:

The steel wheel is great. However, delivery was one day late. Outside of etrailer control I realize, but impacted my schedule nonetheless.

by:

Just as advertised and ontime

by:

Wheel was exactly as ordered. It arrived well packaged and very quickly.

by:

Bought these for my boat trailer. I've not had it on the road that much but when I did there were no issues.

by:

Exactly what I ordered.

by:

No delays on delivery, easy to track pa ckages.

by:

I used this for my spare on a snowmobile trailer that spends all the off season in a garage. After one year, it is rusting around the edges of the lug openings and outer circumference of the rim. I guess for the price, I can live with it. But being a tire that never hits the pavement, I would have thought the finish would have stood up better.

The Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20046 is rated for up to 1,650lbs per wheel. As long as you use a Tire # AM1HP56 rated for the same capacity then you would have a total tandem axle trailer capacity of 6,600lbs.

  • What Are Trailer Tire Load Range Ratings And How Do They Compare To Weight Capacity
Hey Ray, Load range is just the another way of saying the ply rating. Back in the day the amount of plies equated to a certain amount of capacity. The more you had the higher the capacity would be. Now that technology has advanced there's stronger materials used for the plies so less are needed to meet the same capacity rating. There unfortunately isn't a great chart to show the exact capacities tied to these ranges because there are other characteristics that can affect a specific...

  • Replacement for 20.5 x 8-10 Tire and 5-Lug Wheel
So you mentioned wheel, though the 20.5 x 8-10 size you mentioned is actually a tire size, which leads me to think you are looking for a replacement wheel and tire of that size. Since that's an older tire size, what you will need is the modern equivalent, a size 205/65-10 tire, along with a wheel that the tire will fit on. We have just 205/65-10 tires, or just the 5-lug 10 inch rim, or a combination of the tire and rim together if that is what you are looking for. Here are the options...

  • Recommended Trailer Wheel With 3.19 Diameter Hub Bore
I have another option for you, but we do not have a 10" diameter wheel that has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and a pilot hole of 3.19". The two 10" wheels that we offer with the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern both have a 2.80" diameter pilot hole, and a 3.19" diameter hub bore is not standard with this size wheel. As long as the center of your hub is 2.80" or smaller you would have no issue using the Steel Trailer Wheel - 10" x 6" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - White # AM20046, as trailer wheels center...

    For a 5-lug wheel that fits a 20.5 x 8 x 10 tire, use the Steel Trailer Wheel - 10" x 6" Rim # AM20053 if you have a 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern or # AM20046 for a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. • Rim Recommendation for Trailer Tire Size 20.5 x 8 x 10 with 5 on 4-1/2 inch Bolt Pattern
The rim width needed for a 20.5 x 8 x 10 inch tire is 6 inches. So you would want the # AM20048 for a galvanized finish wheel or part # AM20046 for a white wheel.

A tire size of 20.5 x 8.0 -10, will fit a wheel that is 10 inches in diameter and is 6 inches wide, like the item you selected, Dexstar Steel Trailer Wheel, part # AM20046. This wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, so you will need to measure the bolt pattern of your trailer to determine which wheel you will need (see FAQ). • Can I Replace 8 inch Wheels With 10 inch Wheels if the Bolt Pattern is the Same
When choosing a new wheel size, the things you have to be sure about is that the bolt pattern is compatible with your hubs, that the spindle will fit, and that it will not cause interference with your wheel well/fender.. As long as the bolt pattern on the 10 inch wheel is the same as the bolt pattern on your hub, your setup should work just fine. Typically the pilot diameter will increase with the size of the wheel, but just to make sure that it will fit you will want to make sure that...

  • Bolt Pattern Options for 10 Inch Diameter Trailer Wheels
I would love to help but there is not really a direct correlation between tire size and bolt pattern. If you have five bolt wheels then you will need to measure from the center of one hole to the edge of the furthest hole which is explained in the attached photo. With that being said, we do not offer any 10" diameter wheels with a 5 on 5" bolt pattern.
