Features to know about

Built to Handle the Elements: Galvanized Steel Construction

Salt spray, rain, and road grime don’t stand a chance against this wheel’s galvanized finish. The tough coating provides superior protection from rust and corrosion, so it stays solid and clean even after seasons of exposure. That’s the kind of durability you want when reliability matters most.

Confident Strength for Every Load: 910-lb Capacity

This sturdy steel wheel is built to carry its share without flex or fade. Rated at 910 lbs, it meets Department of Transportation standards for dependable performance under load. It’s the kind of strength you can count on every trip, whether it’s a short haul or a full day on the highway.

Straightforward Fit Every Time: 5 on 4-1/2 Pattern, 2.8" Pilot, 0 Offset

No guessing games here—the fitment details are clear and precise. With a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 2.8" pilot diameter, and 0 offset, this wheel installs easily and sits true. Bolt size is 1/2"-20, so setup is simple when you’re ready to get back on the road.

Built Right from the Start: Meets DOT Specifications

When a wheel meets DOT specs, it means it’s built to perform safely where it counts. This 8" diameter x 3-3/4" wide steel wheel is designed and tested to those standards, giving you peace of mind that your setup meets the mark for strength and roadworthiness every time out.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Used only a couple times to trailer snowmobiles in very salty conditions and the rims still look great. Hope El Nino is gone and I get to use these rims a lot more this year

by:

Bought 2 galvanized steel tire rims for my snowmobile trailer,am completely happy with them

by:

The wheels arrived in a condition that required sanding of the galvanized "slag" to be smoothened out in order for the tires to seat (not leak air) This was in the manufacturing process was the product was being removed from the dip. Disappointing but workable.

by:

Good quick service If who ever makes your wheels would center up the center piece of the 7" wheel they would fit more trailers because the deeper dish wheels hit the springs

by:

The rims I bought are better quality than most! The galvanized finish is so much better than the painted ones. The tire and rim combo I also bought are a really good value as well. The only problem I have is about back spacing. My old rims have an off-set of 1.5 and the new ones are centered. So the new galvanized rims don't fit because they hit the inner surface, I also have not seen anything on the web site about back spacing either.

by:

These rims are of VERY POOR QUALITY!! The "so called" galvanizing is very poor and in my opinion it looks as if they are doing this to used rims. I installed my tires on the rims and 2 out of the 4 were bent. I contacted e-trailer and they contacted their supplier, just to hear them say that they are all like this and that's just how they are. So this is what the consumer has to look forward to...I would never purchase these again and neither should you.

by:

I recently ordered tires, went to put them on and the old rims were bad in a few spots. Called etrailers up to see about returning them and ordering rims/tires. I talked to Kayla, she helped price out options/ returns compared to just ordering the rims. Within a few minutes we agreed easier to just order the new rims. Im very pleased with all my experiences with etrailer, the customer service was awesome; definitely will keep ordering through them.

by:

Great wheels. Galvanized finish for excellent corrosion resistance. They make the trailer look way better than with the rusted, painted wheels I took off.

by:

These are nice straight/true thick rims. Packaging was perfect! I did have to wait a few extra days for a restock of the rims but no biggie. They were shipped out as soon as they came in and my previous orders from etrailer were all in stock. Just an fyi, the image of this rim makes it looks like a hot-dipped galvanized rim due to the duller color. No way you'd get a hot-dipped process for for the listed price. Watch the associated video or look at the 5 on 4-1/2 rims for a better representation. The finish is more like a shiny galvanized paint. It is a thick coat, and you'll see runoff points, but it seems well protected. I covered mine (after cleaning) with some cold galvanized spray paint so it would match my restored trailer that was also sprayed. The duller topcoat made any paint drips less noticeable. I bought the rims separate from the tires so I could install my own metal valve stems. I'm glad etrailer gives me that option. This was my third order from etrailer. All the personnel are so helpful and feedback is immediate. I couldn't find any other trailer site with such detailed information on their products and such great service! Three separate orders for me so far. I'm sure there will be more.

by:

I recently purchased a used pontoon that needed tires. After some research, I decided a 10 ply tire or load range E (LRE) would be best. Etrailer.com had the best price and they also offered free shipping on orders over $100. The tires look great and shipping was very fast. I will be getting all of my future trailer supplies from etrailer.com

by:

This product was very good and the knowledge of the person who waited on me (Carla M) was really great and knowing her job. Every thing I bought fit and got me on the road quick. Thanks.

by:

Awesome heavy duty rim.

by:

Thanks for a good product on etrailer.c om

by:

Galvanized coating dripped through two of finished lug bolt holes. I scrapped it off before installing on the trailer. I would rate fit and finish of these rims to be "fair".

by:

by:

Love the product and it arrived quickly.

by:

Great value for the money

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Price, quality, and response spot on! Very fast. Will be back.

by:

The finish looked different on each when and was not even smooth. Looked like globs of finish left over

When it comes to galvanized wheels the finish can be rough. They are dipped in the galvanizing solution and allowed to drip dry which causes the finish to have imperfections. They tend to be on the inexpensive side.

by:

Thank you very much to Jessica and etrailer.com!! She saved the day for me to get tires and rims to me in a very short period of time. Will definitely use etrailer.com for my future needs. Again a hugh thank you to Jessica!!!

by:

Totally impressed with the speed in which I received my order. My trailer rims were shipped on the same day they was ordered and arrived at my doorstep in 2 days. That's customer service!!
Oh yes!! An FYI, the galvanized finish on my rims was literally the best finish I've ever received. I'm super impressed. Thank You

by:

Wheels look great and are holding air with new tires. had a old problem with some aluminum rims not holding air and these are doing the job great

by:

Great rim for the price. I only use the rims to run my boat dolly on it's 2x4 track. Been using it for about 30 years hauling out a 26' to my current 16'. saved me alot of money.

by:

Great looking wheel. Appears to be made of good quality! Fats shipping.

by:

I mean, it’s just a rim, but it seems solidly made and well galvanized. Price is very fair. I plan on buying more of the 4 hole variety for my other trailer.

  • Will Smaller Tire Fit In Place of 4.80/4.00-8 Tire
A smaller 3.5-8 tire will not be able to fit in place of a 4.80/4.00-8 tire such as the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range B # AM10002 (590 lb capacity) or Load Range C # AM10004 (745 lb capacity). The reason is the smaller section width, because 4.80/4.00-8 tires fit 8" x 3-3/4" rims such as Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20008 (Galvanized) or # AM20006 (White) and a 3.5-8 tire is not wide enough to fit. I have added links to video reviews of each of the tires...

  • Does The Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel AM30110 Have Any Offset?
Hi John! The Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 3-3/4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized Finish # AM20008 that the Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range B # AM30110 uses actually has zero offset. So the lug nut mounting area sits in the middle of the wheel. Are you needing a wheel with offset?

  • Are 8-Inch Trailer Wheels Available with 3.19-Inch Pilot Hole
The Americana White 8 x 3-3/4 Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20006 has a 2.81-inch pilot hole, like the galvanized version # AM20008. None of our 8-inch trailer wheels has a 3.19-inch pilot hole. For that size pilot hole you will need to select at least a 12-inch diameter wheel like # AM20132.

  • Replacement Wheel and Tire For 2000 Load Rite Boat Trailer 4.80/4.00-8 With 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern
For your 2000 Load Rite boat trailer you can replace the wheels and tires with the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel # AM30030. This uses the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10002 if you feel you will be able to clean up and reuse your current wheels. The Wheel # AM20008 included with the package above is the 8 on 3-3/4" with 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.

  • Availability of a 5 Lug Wheel For 4.8-8" Tire On a 1972 Sea King Montgomery Ward Boat Trailer
The White # AM20006 and Galvanized # AM20008 are the closest size we have to the wheels on your 1972 Sea King Montgomery Ward boat trailer. These wheels are 8" x 3-3/4", with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. Their pilot hole is only 2.8" in diameter which you will need to ensure fits over your current hub. Since the wheels are lug centric and not hub centric they do not have to fit perfectly on the hub and often have a larger pilot hole than the hub to fit different hub manufactures as there...

  • Smallest Diameter Tire for 8 Inch Rim
The smallest diameter tire that fits an 8" rim is the size you have, 4.80/4.00-8, such as the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10002 and # AM10004, which are 16.1" when inflated. These tires are a fit for 8" x 3-3/4" rims such as the Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20008 (Galvanized) or # AM20006 (White). I have added links to video reviews of all of the aforementioned parts for you to check out.

  • Hub Bore Diameter Of 8" x 3-3/4" 5 on 4-1/2" Wheel AM20006
The only 8" wheels with 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern close to 4" wide are the following: White # AM20006 Galvanized # AM20008 Both of these are 3-3/4" wide, which is measured inside to inside of the bead seat so this is likely what your wheel is. However these are only available with a 2.81 hub bore diameter. As long as your hub bore is smaller than this it'll work fine, but if you need larger you'll have to look elsewhere for the wheels.

  • Galvanized Trailer Wheel With 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern That Will Take A 5.70-8 Tire
Hi David! What you are looking for is the Americana Steel Trailer Wheel - 8" x 3-3/4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized Finish # AM20008. The 5.80-8 trailer tires fit a 3-3/4" wide rim, which this is. It also has the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern you are looking for, so it's perfect! What kind of trailer is this going on? Guessing it's a boat trailer due to wanting the galvanized finish, but still figured I would ask.

  • Availability Of 8" x 3-3/4" Wheel With 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern And 3.19" Pilot
Hello Dustin, thanks for reaching out. We do have an 8" x 3-3/4" wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, part # AM20008. This has a 2.8" pilot hole though. We don't have anything in this size with a 3.19" pilot I'm afraid. That's not exactly standard for this size wheel. What kind of trailer is this for?
