Salt, spray, and rain can take their toll on standard wheels, but this one is built to last. The galvanized finish fights off rust and corrosion far better than bare or painted steel, keeping its surface intact through seasons of moisture exposure. It’s the kind of protection that matters when your trailer sees real-world use in damp or coastal environments.
When you’re loading up for a trip or a job, knowing your wheel can handle it makes all the difference. This 8" x 3-3/4" steel wheel carries a 910-lb capacity and meets Department of Transportation standards. Its sturdy construction holds up under steady mileage and frequent towing, giving you the reliability you want for repeated use.
This wheel takes the guesswork out of setup. With a 4 on 4" bolt pattern, a 2.5" pilot diameter, and a 0 offset, it lines up cleanly with matching hubs and hardware. The 1/2"-20 wheel bolt size keeps it compatible with common hardware, and the design ensures even contact for a solid mount every time.
You can count on consistent performance mile after mile thanks to its high-quality build that meets DOT specifications. Every component—from the balanced steel rim to the even finish—adds up to a dependable wheel that holds true at speed and keeps your trailer tracking straight on the road.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to take a look at the Americana 8" x 3-3/4" Galvanized Steel Trailer Wheel with the four on four-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a nice sturdy steel construction. It does have the galvanized finish to provide superior protection from rust and corrosion, and the galvanized finish wheels are usually used in marine application where you're going to be around freshwater or saltwater. This is a high-quality wheel. It does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications.A few specs on this. We're going to measure the diameter which is eight inches.
And when we measure that, it's not going to be edge to edge, it's going to be inside to inside. So if we take our tape measure, go inside to inside, there is your eight-inch diameter. The width on it is the same way. It'll be inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your 3-3/4 inches wide. The bolt pattern on this wheel is going to be a four on four- inch bolt pattern.
If you want to measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case four, all you have to do is pick one of the holes, measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. That'll be four inches, so four-lug four-inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use the wheel lug size of 1/2" by 20. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel that goes over the hub on your trailer. The diameter of that opening is 2.5 inches.
And the weight capacity on this wheel is 910 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Americana 8" x 3-3/4" Galvanized Steel Trailer Wheel with the four on four-inch bolt pattern.
Ratings & Reviews
I recently purchased a used pontoon that needed tires. After some research, I decided a 10 ply tire or load range E (LRE) would be best. Etrailer.com had the best price and they also offered free shipping on orders over $100. The tires look great and shipping was very fast. I will be getting all of my future trailer supplies from etrailer.com
Great rim for the price. I only use the rims to run my boat dolly on it's 2x4 track. Been using it for about 30 years hauling out a 26' to my current 16'. saved me alot of money.
This product was very good and the knowledge of the person who waited on me (Carla M) was really great and knowing her job. Every thing I bought fit and got me on the road quick. Thanks.
Great looking wheel. Appears to be made of good quality! Fats shipping.
Awesome heavy duty rim.
Galvanized coating dripped through two of finished lug bolt holes. I scrapped it off before installing on the trailer. I would rate fit and finish of these rims to be "fair".
I mean, it’s just a rim, but it seems solidly made and well galvanized. Price is very fair. I plan on buying more of the 4 hole variety for my other trailer.
Great prices and quick delivery.
On time.... Exactly what I wanted!!!!
good value
Received the wheels. Already installed. Very satisfied.
As always, the right products, in perfect shape, delivered very quick at a fair price...What else is there to say.... etrailer is one of the best out there... Thank You, I'll be back!
Heavy guage wheel and thick galvanized plating, these should last a long time in salt and fresh water with no maintenance.
Exactly what I needed to replace rusted out boat trailer hub.Prompt service and reasonable price.
Nice wheels at a fair price. One note, you have to file the bead area where the galvanized process leaves raised drips, which can cause a leak. Well worth it to have rust free wheels.
I received my trailer wheels as scheduled and am looking forward to having non-rusting wheels finally. I will have to take a file and deburr a few areas but that's minor compared to the price I paid and the longevity of these wheels.
Good quick service If who ever makes your wheels would center up the center piece of the 7" wheel they would fit more trailers because the deeper dish wheels hit the springs
These are nice straight/true thick rims. Packaging was perfect! I did have to wait a few extra days for a restock of the rims but no biggie. They were shipped out as soon as they came in and my previous orders from etrailer were all in stock. Just an fyi, the image of this rim makes it looks like a hot-dipped galvanized rim due to the duller color. No way you'd get a hot-dipped process for for the listed price. Watch the associated video or look at the 5 on 4-1/2 rims for a better representation. The finish is more like a shiny galvanized paint. It is a thick coat, and you'll see runoff points, but it seems well protected. I covered mine (after cleaning) with some cold galvanized spray paint so it would match my restored trailer that was also sprayed. The duller topcoat made any paint drips less noticeable. I bought the rims separate from the tires so I could install my own metal valve stems. I'm glad etrailer gives me that option. This was my third order from etrailer. All the personnel are so helpful and feedback is immediate. I couldn't find any other trailer site with such detailed information on their products and such great service! Three separate orders for me so far. I'm sure there will be more.
Thanks for a good product on etrailer.c om
