You load up before sunrise, knowing the miles ahead will test everything. The drive stays steady, the trailer tracks true, and you spend less time worrying about the road and more time focused on getting the job done right.
When your trailer is loaded for the job, you need confidence in what is under it. This tire is rated for up to 2,540 lbs in single applications with a Load Range D and 8-ply rating, giving you the support needed for larger utility trailers, campers, and equipment hauls.
Highway miles can wear a tire down fast if heat builds up. The radial construction helps the tire run cooler over long distances, which supports more consistent performance when you are covering serious ground.
If your trailer weight changes from trip to trip, uneven wear becomes a problem. The tread is designed to stay consistent across different load conditions, helping the tire wear more evenly over time.
Trailers often sit longer than they roll. The enhanced sidewall compound helps resist ozone damage, which can lead to cracking, so your tires are in better shape when it is time to head out again.
Sway and wandering can make towing stressful. This tire is designed to maintain solid road contact, helping your trailer track more predictably behind you at highway speeds.
Rain or dry pavement, you still need control. The wide footprint puts more rubber on the road, which helps improve traction and stability in a variety of driving conditions.
Warranty: 1 year

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Karrier ST225/75R15 KR53 Radial trailer tire. This tire is built for heavy duty trailers. And it's a solid choice. If you're hauling serious weight, this can handle up to 2,540 pounds, which is gonna give you a good safety margin for demanding loads. And what's nice is that it is designed to wear evenly even when your load changes, so you're not gonna be burning through tires unevenly.
The sidewalls are reinforced with a compound that's gonna help resist cracking from sun exposure, which means they're gonna last longer over time. As I mentioned at the beginning of our time together. And as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST225/75R15, and it's a load range d tire, meaning it has an eight ply tire rating. And the maximum PSI is 65 PSI. And this is designed to fit wheels that are 15 by six inches.
So this is a radial tire. It's gonna run cooler on the road and perform more consistently, especially on longer highway trips. You're gonna get a stable, predictable grip. Nothing sketchy when you're at towing speed. The tread has a wide contact area, so it's gonna grip well in both wet and dry conditions, giving you better traction and control.
Now we also carry wheels, if you're looking for wheels as well, that's gonna fit this tire. But if you're also looking help for installation on this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to do the install for you. Well again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I love the way you explained how the tires take on wet roads. Also, I wanted to ask if those were kennels on your trailer.

Oh my, they are still holding air. So far this year they made it to Orlando and Racine, about 4200 miles. Going through Illinois. I thought for sure Id have to air down due to road conditions. But they did fine.

The trailer is parked, undergoing renovation. So no miles have been put on the tires.

One year later and the tires still look nearly new. I’ve hit a number of deep pot holes at 45 mph+ and no visible damage to the tires. The trailer still tracks the same as the first day they were installed. I will be buying these tires for my 25 foot travel trailer when the old ones were out.
