This tire-and-wheel assembly is made to handle serious weight with stability and control. The Westlake radial tire carries a 10-ply rating and a maximum load of 2,830 lbs at 80 psi. Its L speed rating supports up to 75 mph, giving you reliable performance on long highway runs. Both the tire and wheel meet DOT and FMVSS specifications, so you can count on them to hold up mile after mile.
Road heat and heavy towing can wear a tire down fast, but this one’s built to resist that. The Westlake radial construction uses double steel belts and double polyester plies for strength, then adds nylon tread-firming overlays to help prevent tread separation. The result is lower rolling resistance and less heat buildup for a longer tread life and steadier highway tracking.

Moisture, salt, and time don’t take this one down. The 15" x 6" aluminum wheel is rustproof and lightweight, with a glossy black Margay 5-spoke design that stays sharp thanks to its automotive-grade clear coat finish. It meets SAE J1204 standards for durability and keeps its shine while resisting scuffs and scratches season after season.
Skip the shop visit—this assembly arrives pre-mounted so it’s ready to install right out of the box. It also includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. If you get a flat, a technician will come change it for you—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long.
This tire comes with a 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee that covers replacement at no charge if the tire is damaged in any way not already covered by warranty during the first year. You’ll also be compensated a flat labor rate for mounting the replacement tire, so you’re covered from start to finish.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we'll take a look at the Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a Load Range E, mounted on this 15 inch glossy black Margay Series aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel, it's an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, rustproof. And we mentioned it's the Margay Series, which you can see is a six-spoke design and it's in a glossy black finish.
And if you look on the edge of the spokes and even on the outer lip, it does a machine finish to get a little bit of a shine to the wheel. They do use an automotive-grade clear coat finish on the front, helps protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. A few dimensions on the wheel itself. The diameter is 15 inches, the width on just the wheel, six inches wide. Now this wheel does have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5 1/2 inches.
And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six. It's pretty simple because the lug holes, you can see, are directly across from each other, so it makes it easier to measure. So all you have to do is just pick any one of the holes, let's say this one, and measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel, it'll measure 5 1/2 inches. So that means it's a 6-lug 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
This does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. If you notice, it does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. What you wanna make sure is when you do purchase the center cap that you need to get one with the diameter that will fit this pilot hole.
Because when you install the cap, it'll install through this hole. So the diameter on this pilot hole is 4.25 inches. The tire is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies for a nice, long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial ply tire, so it is great for highway use. It is also stamped ST, which stands for Special Trailer Tire, means it has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers, not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here, you can see ST, as we mentioned, for Special Trailer, 225, 75R15, R means it's a radial. Section width, 8.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 28.3. And this tire is a Load Range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. Then now this tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And they do put a speed rating on the tire, and it is stamped on the tire. And they stamp it with a letter designation. And where that's located is right after the tire size we just went over. You'll see two numbers, and then the letter at the end. Speed rating L will mean that it has a 75 mile per hour speed rating. They do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a Load Range E, mounted on this 15 inch glossy black Margay Series aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

After one year, these wheels and tires still look great! They support the trailer well and keep their pressure. I chose to keep them covered with RV wheel covers when parked. Still very pleased with my purchase.
