This setup is built for long hauls and heavy loads without breaking a sweat. The Westlake ST235/80R16 radial tire offers a 10-ply rating with a 3,520-lb maximum load at 80 psi and a speed rating of L (75 mph). It’s matched to a 16" x 7" aluminum wheel rated at 4,080 lbs, and both meet DOT, FMVSS, and SAE J1204 standards. The result is solid highway performance and confidence when you’re towing serious weight.

The radial construction uses double steel belts, double polyester cords, and nylon tread-firming overlays to resist tread separation and extend tire life. That robust internal build keeps rolling resistance low and heat buildup in check, helping the tread wear evenly mile after mile.
The Eagle Series aluminum wheel delivers lightweight strength that won’t rust. Its glossy black finish with an automotive-grade clear coat protects against scuffs and scratches, while the 8-spoke design gives the whole setup a clean, finished look that stays sharp over time.
Each lug nut well has a pressed-in steel insert that prevents wear in the aluminum. This stops the holes from elongating and keeps the wheel tight on the hub so you don’t need to constantly retorque. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in long-term reliability.

Every tire comes with a 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee—if it’s damaged within the first year, it’s replaced at no cost along with flat labor for mounting. Plus, you get complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years with 24/7 help available anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Westlake ST23580R16 load range E radial trailer tire with this 16-inch Eagle aluminium wheel with an 8 on 6.5-inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your RVs, campers, and trailers. This special trailer tire or ST tire has 30 sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. This radial tire is designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester plies for a long life.
The nylon tread firming belt overlays are gonna help prevent tread separation and the tread wear indicator makes it easy to see the tread depth. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST23580R16. The section width of this tire is 9.3 inches and the outer diameter is 30.8 inches. And this is a load range E tire, meaning it has a 10-ply rating. The maximum load of this tire is 3,520 pounds at 80 PSI and this has a speed rating of L, indicating a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour.
Now, this aluminium wheel is durable, it's lightweight, and rustproof. And as you can see here, it does feature this attractive Eagle Series eight spoke design. And this is in glossy black and an automotive grade clear code finish is on the front and that's gonna protect this wheel from scuffs and scratches. This wheel also features steel inserts in the lug nut wells to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, preventing the holes from wearing down and eliminating the need for the constant retidying of the lug nuts. Now, the measurements or the dimensions of our wheel, taking a look at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 16 inches in diameter.
The width of our wheel, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat is seven inches. And this has a bolt pattern of 8 on 6.5 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 4,080 pounds.
The wheel stud size is 1/2 an inch by 20 or 9/16 of an inch by 18. The center cap is sold separately, but if you pick one up, you just wanna be sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.9 inches. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, the tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications, and the wheel meets SAE J 1204 standards. One final note, this tire and wheel assembly does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years. So if your RV or trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline and a technician will come and change the flat for you. And you can call that line 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere here in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Best RV tires Ive owned. Put little over 13000 miles on them this year. Went from the west coast to the east coast. Not one flat tire. No abnormal tire wear. They still have good tread. Ready for another road trip. And always air them to 5psi less than stated on side of tire.

Since installing them on my 30 travel trailer, we have traveled from Texas to the west coast and to the east. Put 14000 miles on these tires and they still are good for another long trip. Remember, correct air pressure and straight axles. Would purchase these again for sure. Highly recommend these whells and tires!!!!
