This Westlake ST225/75R15 radial tire and matte black Eagle aluminum wheel combo is made for serious towing. The tire has a 10-ply rating with a maximum load of 2,830 lbs at 80 psi and speed rating L (75 mph). Double steel belts, double polyester plies, and nylon overlays keep the tread firm and stable, while radial construction minimizes heat buildup for long life at highway speeds. Both wheel and tire meet DOT and FMVSS standards for dependable performance mile after mile.

The 15" x 6" aluminum wheel looks sharp in its matte black Eagle 6-spoke design, but it’s built for more than looks. The aluminum construction is rustproof and lightweight, with an automotive-grade clear coat that protects against scratches and scuffs. Pressed-in steel inserts in the lug nut wells prevent wear around the bolt holes, helping the wheel stay tight on the hub without the need for constant retorquing.

No need to make a shop stop before you roll—this combo comes fully mounted so you can bolt it right on. The wheel uses a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, fits 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, and has a 4.25" pilot diameter. That means it’s ready to go with the right fit and air pressure straight out of the box for quick setup and reliable towing.
This assembly includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years—available 24/7 anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico—so if you get a flat, help is just a call away. The tire also comes with a 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee: if it’s damaged within the first year outside of normal warranty coverage, it’ll be replaced at no charge, with a flat labor rate to cover mounting the replacement.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range E, and it's mounted on this 15" Matte Black Eagle Series Aluminum Wheel. It has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly is ideal for your RV or camper or your trailer. The wheel is an aluminum wheel.
It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And, we mentioned, this is the Eagle Series, which you can see is a multi-spoke design. It has a complete matte black finish on it on the front and even on the back of the wheel. Now, on the front, they do use an automotive grade clear coat finish to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. Now, one of the nice features I like on this wheel is the steel inserts right here that they install in the lug nut wells, and that's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub.
Basically, when you put this onto your hub, slide it over the wheel studs, put your lug nuts on, and then when you go to torque 'em down, those inserts will prevent the holes from elongating or wearing down, so it eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. A few measurements on the wheel itself, the diameter is 15", the width is, just the wheel, is 6" wide. Now, the wheel does have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5-1/2". And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this one, that's an even number of lugs. In this case, six.
It's pretty easy, 'cause if you look at the lug holes, they're directly across from each other, so when you go to measure it, all you have to do is pick any one of the holes, let's say this one, and measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole across from it. So, on this wheel it'll measure 5-1/2", so that means it's a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2' by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. Now, if you notice, it does not include a center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. What you wanna make sure is when you get your center cap, you need to order the correct diameter center cap, so it'll fit into this pilot hole diameter, so when you install your cap, it'll install through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.25". Now, the tire that's on this is a Westlake Radial Tire. This tire is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies for a nice long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial applied tire, so it's great for highway use. It is also an ST Tire, so it means it's a special trailer tire. It has sturdy sidewall so we can handle heavy loads, means it's created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Now, the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, you can see right here, "ST," we mentioned, for special trailer, 225/75R15. "R" means it's a radial tire. Section width on this, 8.8 inches. Overall diameter, 28.3. This tire is a low range E, which means it's a 10-ply radial tire. It has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. And this tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. I also wanna mention that the tires now come with speed ratings on 'em, and it's designated by a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size we went over. You'll see two numbers and then the letter "L." Speed rating L will mean this has a 75-mile-per-hour speed rating. Now, they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Flat tire service is available 24/7 anywhere in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this West Lake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range E, mounted on this 15" Matte Black Eagle Series Aluminum Wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern.

Best RV tires Ive owned. Put little over 13000 miles on them this year. Went from the west coast to the east coast. Not one flat tire. No abnormal tire wear. They still have good tread. Ready for another road trip. And always air them to 5psi less than stated on side of tire.

Since installing them on my 30 travel trailer, we have traveled from Texas to the west coast and to the east. Put 14000 miles on these tires and they still are good for another long trip. Remember, correct air pressure and straight axles. Would purchase these again for sure. Highly recommend these whells and tires!!!!
