TruRyde Trailer Suspension Parts - TREQ4541

Highlights

  • 12" Long Equalizer: Transfers load between axles so your trailer rides smoother over bumps.
  • Fits 2" Wide Slipper Springs: Connects tandem or triple axles for balanced suspension movement.
  • 7/8" Center Hole: Mounts securely to the center hanger for proper axle articulation.
  • 9/16" Side Bolt Holes: Sized right for the keeper and shackle bolts that hold the springs.
  • 1/4" Thick Hot Rolled Steel: Durable construction handles road stress without bending.
  • Distributes Weight Evenly: Keeps cargo steady and reduces bounce and sway on rough roads.

Features to know about

Smooth Ride on Rough Roads: 12" Long Equalizer Balances the Load

Bumpy stretches can make a trailer bounce and sway. This 12" long equalizer links the slipper springs on tandem- or triple-axle setups and keeps the ride steady. It transfers impact from one axle to the other so the load stays balanced. The design lets the suspension move freely, smoothing out jolts and keeping gear from shifting around inside.

Built to Last: 1/4" Thick Hot Rolled Steel Construction

Factory parts can wear out fast under heavy use. This equalizer is made from 1/4" thick hot rolled steel that stands up to road abuse and high mileage. The solid build resists flexing and holds its shape even when loaded down, giving a durable connection point between axles for consistent performance.

Simple, Reliable Setup: Fits 2" Wide Slipper Leaf Springs

Getting parts to line up right makes the job easier. This equalizer fits 2" wide slipper leaf springs with a 7/8" center bolt hole and 9/16" side bolt holes for both the keeper and shackle bolts. It suspends from a center hanger (sold separately) and uses standard hardware, so it installs cleanly into existing setups without guesswork.

Even Weight Distribution: Keeps Suspension Working Together

Uneven weight can wear components fast and make towing unpredictable. By allowing controlled movement between axles, this equalizer distributes weight evenly across the suspension. The result is steadier tracking and better load handling mile after mile.

by:

After a year, suspension is still performing just as it should. Thanks!

by:

The shipping was amazing super fast and the part is exactly what I ordered and good quality very happy customer

by:

Perfect replacement. Easy installation took about hr to install each side.

by:

We have had great experience with eTrailer, These parts came in as described.

by:

Everything I have purchased from Etrailer has been good

by:

Perfect replacement part for trailer I am repairing

by:

Great help finding exactly what I needed. Received parts exactly when promised. Parts were in great condition and were exactly what I ordered and needed. Thanks etrailer.com

by:

These appear to be manufactured from a quality piece of steel and formed without any cracks. All I needed to do was put a little primer and paint prior to installation. Also has the bushing already installed. Bolt holes matched my existing rocker assembly.

by:

All products received were correct, quality of parts exceeded my expectations. Etrailer employees go above and beyond for the customer, and their knowledge of products is outstanding! Will definitely return as a customer.

by:

Equalizer is a perfect fit with quality I have come to expect from etrailer

by:

These equalizers are high quality and are a perfect fit. They were a direct bolt up replacement for the old equalizers.

by:

Good product has worked great on my dump trailer, fast shipping

by:

Although captured by the channel side frame, I'd like to see more weld on the bushing. There is about 20 mm long weld on the bottom of the bushing. I'd like to see as much weld as possible, perhaps 300 radial degrees instead of the 20 degrees to stiffen the entire linkup. The packing of the box was not good at all and these 2 equalizers nearly exited the box; I give the packing a zero star.

by:

Theses equalizers were an exact match for what I was needing. I was really surprised to be able to find them on etrailer because no one in my area had them.

by:

These equalizer bars are a perfect fit for my customer and they last longer with the plastic bushings and greaseable pins than the factory equipment. The price can't be beat and the shipping was really quick. Its always easy to find the parts you need at etrailer.

by:

3 of 11 parts were wrong part

by:

Some 14K trailers use 11" equalizer slipper boxes, some use 12". The main issue is that the "V" piece on the slip end wears down allow the slipping spring to come out past the bottom keeper bolt. The 2nd problem is the welds for the center bolt sleeve break. Those welds are usually pretty minimal so check them before installing and add some weld to them if you want to. The center eye-bolt bushing can wear out too if bolt doesn't get lubed. I like WET equalizer bolts with castle nuts.

by:

Fast shipping. Quality product is better than OEM. Perfect fit!

by:

This product here fits perfect on my trailer no adjustment needed to be done go etrailer .. it was cheap plus fast shipping..

by:

the parts are great and fix nice. Im glad the part came in rare metal , that allowed me to custom paint to match my trailer. im very happy. thank you.

  • Slipper Spring Hanger Positioning for 7,000 lb Tandem Axle
The spring hanger placement is going to be determined by your axle spacing. For example, if your axles are spaced 33 inches apart, as shown in the attached diagram, a 7K axle slipper spring, like # e74SR, requires a distance of 28-1/2 inches between the front and center hangers and 29-1/2 inches between the center and rear hangers, when using our Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2" Slipper Springs with 12" Long Equalizers, # APT6SE. I'm not sure exactly where you measured the 26-3/4...

  • My Tires are Hitting My Wheel Well on My 40’ Hotshot Trailer Suspension How Can I Get More Clearance
Hello Jonathan, Thank you so much for the pictures, they are always incredibly helpful. Based on the tire mark in your wheel well, I am honestly glad you have not had a blowout already. I completely understand why this is concerning, especially on a hard-working trailer where downtime is not an option. I have a great solution for you. Since you have 7K axles, that tells me your axle tube diameter is 3 inches. You will want to order 2 sets of the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion...

Hey Lucas, thanks for reaching out! We have the Equalizer for 2" Wide Slipper Springs # TREQ4541 that looks to match the description you're needing, but this doesn't come in a full-fledged kit because it's from a different manufacturer. To get the rest of the bolts you'll need the following: - Wet Equalizer Bolt with Castle Nut, Grease Zerk and Cotter Pin # 126A1 (qty 2) - Spring Eye Bolt # 166079 - Keeper Bolt and Locknut # 7-7-6-11 Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • What Is Needed to Determine the Correct Replacement Leaf Springs for a Boat Trailer
Hey Kyle, first of all congrats on the trailer! It might look wrong but don't worry it's not. Over time, leaf springs will flatten and elongate causing them to measure a bit longer than when originally installed. Since we are talking about less than an inch here of difference, I'd say with good authority that that's what happened. To double check that you have the right measurement, you're going to need to let your trailer's axles hang free and measure the eye to eye, the width, and the...

  • Where Should a Slipper Spring Sit on the Hanger Bolt of My Suspension
The slipper spring should sit on the hanger bolt somewhere in the center of the flat part so that it allows a bit of movement as the suspension articulates. The curved ends will generally going to keep the spring from moving too far if the suspension articulates towards the rear of the trailer. If you're designing a new system, you'll want to find the closest spring size where the slipper end sits with the middle over that hanger bolt. Position 2 in your diagram would be the preferred orientation. I've...

Yes, the leaf spring part # e74SR would work great on a tandem axle 14k trailer like your PJ dump trailer. The equalizer part # TREQ4541 is the correct one to use as well with this spring and trailer. • How to Measure For Replacement Slipper Spring Equalizer For Gooseneck Trailer
To get the right replacement, the key is matching your current equalizer since slipper spring setups can vary quite a bit, especially on a 10K gooseneck. The easiest way to measure is with the equalizer still on the trailer. Start by measuring from the center of the mounting bolt hole to the center of the rear eye bolt hole. That center to center distance is the most important number because it determines how your axles are spaced and how the suspension cycles. You’ll also want to measure...

  • ShoreLand'r Boat Trailer Slipper End Leaf Spring Rubbing On Trailer Frame
On a slipper spring with a flat end like you have it is normal for the end of the spring to rub on the frame/spring hanger. With the style mount you have it makes me think you original springs were Open Ended # e24SR. This would help to explain the sleeve you have on the bolt as well as the spring would have rolled on the sleeve. The original spring was likely damaged and since they probably were not able to find the correct size they just went with what they could make work.
