Where Should a Slipper Spring Sit on the Hanger Bolt of My Suspension

Question:
Hi, where should the top of a slipper spring be positioned on the hanger? I see on your site that there is a Binch dimension/measurement on the slipper spring pics... Is that where the spring should be positioned on the hanger? And if so, how do you find that Binch measurement... some slipper springs have a high point, where others are somewhat flat... in this case would it be the center of the flat part before the hook? i have added a picture thanks for any help

The slipper spring should sit on the hanger bolt somewhere in the center of the flat part so that it allows a bit of movement as the suspension articulates. The curved ends will generally going to keep the spring from moving too far if the suspension articulates towards the rear of the trailer. If you're designing a new system, you'll want to find the closest spring size where the slipper end sits with the middle over that hanger bolt. Position 2 in your diagram would be the preferred orientation.
