Features to know about

Brighter Light, Lower Power Draw: Efficient 12-Diode LED Design

If you’re upgrading from old bulbs, this Optronics HyperX LED trailer light makes the switch easy. It uses 12 diodes for a strong, even glow that’s both brighter and more efficient than traditional incandescent lights. At 12.8V it only draws 0.174 amps for stop/turn and 0.007 amps for tail function, so your system runs cooler and your vehicle’s electrical load stays low. The LEDs are solid-state, so you won’t have to worry about fragile filaments or constant bulb changes.

Keeping Moisture Out: Fully Waterproof and Submersible Build

This light is built to handle wet conditions without a problem. The lens and housing are a sealed polycarbonate unit that keeps out water and dirt completely, making it perfect for boat trailers or anywhere corrosion could sneak in. Once installed, it stays sealed tight through repeated submersion or rainy drives—no fogging or shorting issues to deal with later.

Simple Mounting Options: Recessed or Bracket Install

Mounting is straightforward whether you’re replacing an existing light or adding a new one. The 6-7/16" wide x 2-5/16" tall x 1-3/4" thick oval light installs in a grommet such as A70GB (sold separately) for a clean recessed fit. Don’t want to cut into your trailer? Use the optional BK70BB bracket (sold separately) with the same grommet for an external mount that still looks tidy and secure.

Reliable Wiring Connection: Standard 3-Prong Plug Compatibility

Wiring is quick thanks to the PL-3 connector built into the back of the light. It works with common 3-prong pigtails like the straight A45PB or right-angle A47PB (sold separately), so you can plug it directly into your trailer harness without splicing wires. The setup is DOT compliant and ready to deliver steady brake, tail, and turn signals once connected.

Built to Last: Lifetime Warranty on LEDs

Every LED in this light comes backed by a lifetime warranty, showing how durable the design really is. It’s made from impact-resistant materials that hold up to weather, vibration, and constant use—exactly what you want in a long-term lighting upgrade you can just install and forget about.

by:

by:

Quality is great and shipping was very quick!

by:

Great product. I just wish it was sold with the wiring harness

by:

LED's fit right in place of old incandescent lights

by:

The delivery was prompt. Packaging good and I even bought the right part, and the part fit and worked perfectly. I would recommend etrailer to anyone.

by:

Arrived earlier than expected. Company sent emails updating on shipment. Plus, tracking worked. And, best yet, the lights plugged in and worked as advertised. Much brighter -- as they should be -- than the old incandescent bulbs they replaced.

by:

I ordered new tail & marker lights for my car trailer.
The liights work great! so glad I went with the LED style, much brighter than the normal version.
Communication was great & shipping super fast!

thanks etrailer!

by:

These have been on my trailer for a year now and still shine like new. Very bright and very noticeable as running lights and especially brake/turn signals. Shines consistent as well. Would recommend.

by:

Purchased LED lights to re-wire a 12-year old trailer. etrailer had all the lights/gaskets needed. Perfect fit to the original OEM lights.

by:

The product was exactly as it was described in fit perfect into the back of my boat. Shipping was fast. I am very satisfied and the next time I need any parts my trailer I am going to be sure to use etrailer again.

by:

The led lights work perfectly. My RV would not power all the lights my enclosed trailer has on it, so I went to the led lights that require a lot less electricity. It worked and I am on my way. Thank you for prompt service getting my order to me:)

by:

These were purchased to replace OEM lights on our boat trailer, one of which had cracked, flooded, and stopped working. New lights were a direct replacement and took less than 5 minutes to install. These lights are far brighter than the OEM lights, and are still working great after almost a year of being repeatedly dunked in the water.

by:

The backing plates and drums came quickly and all items necessary for installation were there except for the nuts that hold the backing plates to the axle flange. I guess they assume this is a replacement part rather than a new installation. The nuts were purchased at my local hardware store for a couple dollars, some grease for the bearings and the parts were on in a couple hours. The price was reasonable here too and free shipping. I will order from etrailer next time.

See what our Experts say about this Optronics Trailer Lights

  • Turn Signal Hyperflash on Tow Vehicle Towing a Boat Trailer
It sounds like you have experienced a hyperflash condition. LED lights will flash like that because they do not provide enough power draw for the system to recognize them. Also, you should not mix LED and incandescent lights on a trailer. If the vehicle has LED lights and the trailer has incandescent lights then as long as the vehicle has the proper converter installed or has the factory wiring harness it should be fine unless it is the factory harness on a German vehicle like a BMW or...

  • Trailer Tail Light Needed for Trailer with Separate Turn Signals and Stop/Tail Lights
I have attached a link to all of our oval trailer lights for you. Most 6 inch oval lights are actually 6-1/2 inches long by 2-1/4 inches wide. I recommend measuring your trailer lights to make sure you choose a replacement light with the same dimensions as your tail lights. We do not have oval tail lights that are exactly 6 inches long, but you could enlarge the cutouts on your trailer to accommodate the standard 6-1/2 inch lights. Our oval trailer lights are available with red, amber...

  • Replacement Tail Lights for a 2008 Marine Master Trailer
The most amount of diodes we have in a light that is a direct replacement for the Trailer Tail Light part # STL72RB is going to be the Trailer Tail Light part # STL572RB for red or part # STL572AB for amber. All three of the above lights have the same mounting dimension and use the same wiring harness. The only difference between them is that your current trailer lights have 10 diodes and the new trailer lights have 12 diodes. I have attached a review and installation video of the new lights...

  • HyperFlash Troubleshooting for 2005 BMW X3 Towing Trailer with LED Lights
German vehicles with factory wiring that do not want to work right with LED trailer lighting require the adapters # C57003 for a 7-way to 7-way or part # C35FR for 7-way to 4-way. These adapters have the diodes wired into them so you would not need to hardwire additional ones in. The issue is that German vehicles have sensors built into the taillight harnesses to detect when a bulb has burned out. Since LED trailer lights only put a very slight amount of draw on the taillight circuits...

  • Does Optronics HyperX LED Trailer Tail Light STL572RB Come as Single or Pair
The Optronics HyperX LED Trailer Tail Light # STL572RB comes as a single light. You would need to order a quantity of two for a pair of the # STL572RB. To wire it to your trailer you'll also need the 3-Wire Pigtail # A45PB.

  • Turn Signals and Brake Lights Do Not Work on Trailer After Installing LED Lights
Since the turn signals and brake lights are on the same circuit, I recommend disconnecting the trailer and testing the vehicle side connector using a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed to determine if power is coming through. If it is not then the issue is on the vehicle side. I would need to know the year, make, and model to determine what might be the problem. If power is coming through like it should move on to the trailer. First make sure that the main trailer connector ground...

  • Yellow and Green Wire Have No Voltage on a 2010 Ford F-150 When Hooking Up Boat Trailer
In the 2010 Ford F-150 there are two fuse panels. One is located under the battery and the other one is in either the driver or passengers kick plate. I found a copy of the 2010 Ford F-150 owners manual on line and the fuse location is number 6 for the turn signals/stop lamps. If the tow package was installed by the factory there is a relay that is supposed to protect your fuses and that may be blown. The relay is located in the power distribution box under the hood - it is position numbers...

  • Is the Optronics # STL572RB Sealed LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light Sold as a Single Unit or Pair
The Optronics # STL572RB Sealed LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light is sold as a single piece, not a pair. For complete installation you will require the corresponding rubber grommet, part # a70gb, which provides protection from mechanical stress, and the mounting bracket, part # BK70BB. Please note that in an existing 2 inch by 6-11/16 inch opening the grommet can be used to mount the light; if not the bracket can be used. You will also need the 3-wire pigtail lead in either the straight or right-angle...
