Video Transcript for Review of Lionshead Tires and Wheels - Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - LI84FR

Today, we're taking a look at the Lionshead five-eighth inch Swivel Flange Lug Nut for your hub piloted trailer wheels for quantity of one. Now this swivel flange lug nut will secure a hub piloted wheel to the hub of your trailer or the RV. This lug nut is designed to fit five-eighths inch diameter wheel bolts. And what I wanted to show you, you can see here's the swivel flange on it, and I'll back out a little bit and actually pull a hub piloted wheel just to show you the type of wheel that this fits on.And the reason I wanted to show you is most trailer wheels will have a 60-degree chamfer on the lug nut holes, and it matches the chamfer of the bevel on your lug nut. So when you put it on there and tighten it down, it centers it on those lug bolt. On a hub piloted wheel like this one, it's designed to fit on the hub of this exact pilot hole diameter opening will fit on the hub exactly.

So centering off the hub, so you don't need to center it on the lug bolts. So these holes that are on here do not have that 60-degree chamfer or bevel on it. So that's why you'll use these five-eighths inch size flange nuts. They'll go on and tighten down just like that and secure your wheel to your hub.I guess go ahead and zoom back in. Now, the swivel flange on this, this helps provide stability.

I mentioned the lug size on this is five-eighths inch by 18 threads per inch. It is for quantity of one lug nut. And one last thing is once you install these, if you'd like to give it a nice finished look, we do also offer a lug nut cover to cover the lug nut. We do sell that separately. This is what it would look like.

It's part number LI74FR, it's a chrome plastic construction and it gives a nice finished look to your lug nuts after they're installed on your wheel. And it installs by just basically push it on and it'll snap right onto the top of the lug nut, gives you a nice finished look, but again, they're sold separately. But that should do it for the review on the Lionshead five-eighth inch Swivel Flange Lug Nut for your hub piloted trailer wheels..

  • Size of Lionshead Trailer Wheel Swivel Flange Lug Nut

  • Does The Wheel Hub Opening Have To Match The Hub Size With The Wheel and Tire # AM30150?
As the Loadstar 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel # AM30150 is lug centric it is okay to be larger. Most trailer applications will use tapered Lug Nuts # CE11051 with this style wheel mounting surface. The lug nuts will center the wheel on the hub. Trailers with hub centric wheels will want to ensure the hub diameters match and will use Flange Wheel Nuts # LI84FR. This ensures the wheel is centered on the hub and can float on the studs.

  • Recommended Wheels To Change From 16 to 17.5 on 15k PJ Trailer
There are a few options but the Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w 17-1/2" Lynx Aluminum Wheel # LHAS701 will not fit the 5/8" studs on your trailer. You can change your hubs to ones with a 9/16" studs to use these wheels. To do this I would need the bearing numbers from the inner and outer bearing of your current hubs to make sure you get the correct hub. If the bearing numbers are worn you can use the attached diagram to measure your spindle with digital calipers like # PTW80157 to find...

  • Can Dual Wheels On 10K Dexter Axles Be Changed Over To Super Single 17.5" Wheels and Tires?
I recommend going with a wheel like the Taskmaster Modular Wheel in White # TA36MR or Silver # TA35ZR. These wheels only have a 0.08" positive offset keeping the center of the Provider 235/75R17.5 Radial Trailer Tire # P35175 in line with the center position of your dual tires. This helps keep the trailer stable. Both wheels above are designed to fit with 5/8" studs and have a Flange Nuts # LI84FR to hold the wheel since it has a hub centric design. You will need to verify if you have the...

  • Steel 16" Trailer Wheels With 6 on 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern
Here is a list of our 16" steel trailer wheels which have the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. We will not have any wheels which have the 95.4mm pilot hole you are needing which should not likely be an issue since trailers will typically use a coned Lug Nut # CE11051 which lug centers the wheel rather than hub centering the wheel like several vehicles will require. If your trailer hub is hub centric and uses a Flange Nut # LI84FR you will need to have an centric ring adapter made to fit the wheels....
