Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Custer pedestal style, stop turn tail trailer tail light with the red lens for a quantity of one. Now this is an incandescent trailer light which will provide the stop, turn, and tail functions on your trailer. You can see it as a one-sided, four inch round, incandescent tail light has a nice polycarbonate housing and lens and you can see it as a red lens. That's over an incandescent bulb This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.
You can see it as a pedestal mount design the mounts to the trailer with the included stud, comes with the washers and the nut to tighten it down. And it will ground through that stud, I'm going to show you at the end of this video, when I hook it up to some power how that works. Has a two wire pigtail which includes the red tail light lead and then the black stop and turn wire. So what we're going to do now is go ahead and hook this up. So I'm going to go ahead and take the black wire which is what we mentioned for the stop and turn.
And then we'll take the red wire which is for the tail light. And then, with those both connected to make the light work, you do need to take your ground, and again, when you mount this to your trailer that will ground it. So what I'm going to do is just go and hook this up to the washer there so we can get a good ground and you'll be able to see when I turn on the power the power on there's your tail light. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and then your taillight function. And then you can see when you go to hit your brakes, there be your brake light, your brighter light.
And then when you go to hit your turn signal there'll be your turn signal light. And then just your normal tail light. We'll go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights. And as I said you can see that it grounds through that stud. So you do have to make sure that you ground it through this stud.
