stabilizer mounted on an RV hitch

We've all had the experience of getting up in the morning to make a cup of coffee and waking our travel partner up by shaking the whole vehicle. Well, all of that is history thanks to the MORryde hitch-mounted stabilizer.

This stabilizer will help you keep your RV or camper more level when it's parked without any complicated setup. Just slide the unit into your 2" hitch receiver and adjust the legs to provide just enough tension to hold the rear of your vehicle steady. Once you're ready to move to your next destination, you can easily remove the stabilizer and fold it up for compact storage.

Sturdy Design for Maximum Stability

close up view of the stabilizer footpad

The footpads on this stabilizer are designed to provide superior stabilization. The angle of the integrated eyelets ensures that the footpads remain flat on the ground, even as you tighten the ratcheting strap to pull the legs inward. This puts upward tension on your hitch, and with the flush footing, creates superior stability for your trailer.

Easy Setup and Take Down

Once you assemble this stabilizer, you won't need any tools to use it. Just slide it into your hitch at the campsite, fold down the legs, and adjust each leg to get the length you need before securing them with the retaining clips. Hook the strap into each footpad and ratchet the strap to tug the stabilizing legs tight. This will tension the stabilizer, which will lift up at the hitch just enough to brace and steady the rear of your RV.

stabilizer folded for compact storage

When your trip is over, all you have to do is release the strap, unpin the legs, and fold the stabilizer up before removing it from your hitch. Its compact size makes it easy to store in your RV until you arrive at your next destination.

  • Does MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR Have Minimum Hitch Tongue Weight Requirement
The MORryde hitch stabilizer part # MR22AR does not have any tongue weight minimum requirements for the hitch it is used in. It doesn't put that much stress on a hitch when used properly so it was not rated at all. Your hitch that has a 300 lb rating would be totally safe.

  • Recommended Undercarriage Spare Tire Mount for 5th Wheel RV
If I understand correctly, you are wanting a frame mounted spare tire carrier that mounts under your 5th wheel RV. We have a few options available, my preferred being the Lippert Underchassis Double Bin Storage Unit w/ Spare Tire Carrier, # LC125460. This has overall dimensions of 99-1/2" long x 19-1/8" wide x 8-1/4" tall with a built-in winch in the center of the unit to raise and lower your spare tire. But in addition, it has a 27-7/8" long x 17" wide x 8" tall, slide-out bins with...

  • Is There an Ideal Spacing For the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer Feet To Be Spread?
With the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR want to look at the angle you are creating on the arms. You want each arm to form a 45 degree angle to the ground to give you the strongest base. As no two vehicles will have the same height you want each foot to stick out the same height of your hitch. So if the hitch is 16" from the ground and you are on flat ground each leg will be 16" from center or 32" apart.

  • Class C Motorhome/RV Stabilizers That Are Not Permanently Attached To The Frame
Yes, you can use a Leveling Scissor Jack Set # JSC-24 to stabilize your Class C motorhome without having to attach them to your frame. Some of the more popular options are the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer # MR22AR and Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer # 020106 for stabilizing a motorhome. Since you will not be attaching the jacks to your motorhome these are easier to position and raise than attempting to hole a scissor jack style stabilizer. My preference would be to use...

  • Best Place to Install Scissor Jacks on Winnebago Motorhome
When installing scissor jacks like the etrailer Scissor Jacks with Handle # e99012 you're basically looking for strong points on the frame like what you mentioned. There aren't any "set" places to install the jacks so it's more or less about using your best judgement. With that being said, if you aren't utilizing the trailer hitch on your Winnebago you might consider using the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR instead. This stores inside your motorhome and then installs by connecting...

  • Recommended Stabilizer Jacks for a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 RV Van Conversion
I have a couple universal options you can consider to stabilize your Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 as there is not a custom fit option. The MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer # MR22AR is a great option if you have a 2" receiver on you Sprinter. This will fit into your receiver so there is no need to drill into your frame. As it is also as far back on your Sprinter as you can go it will give you great stabilization from front to rear. We also have the 24" Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks # UF48-979002...

  • Will Adding A MORryde Hitch Stabilizer Next To The Rear Stabilizers Still Help
You might not notice as much of difference adding the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR since you stated your stabilizers are close by but you'd still be adding more support for your 2011 Keystone Montana 3625RE. Stabilizers definitely aren't perfect so the more support you add the better your trailer will feel when walking around inside.

  • Landing Gear Fitment on 2021 Forest River XLR Nitro 35141 5th Wheel Toy Hauler
Since the MORryde 5th Wheel Cross Brace Landing Gear Stabilizer # MR72AR fully extends up to 80" and the distance between your landing gear jacks is 81" I don't see this kit fitting your application unfortunately. Instead you might consider the MORryde Hitch Mounted Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR or the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit # LC191023 which doesn't have to stretch from landing jack leg to landing jack leg.

  • Trailer Hitch With Two Receivers For 2020 Ford F-450 Super Duty
While you wouldn't be able to weld another 2" receiver on, there is a solution for your 2020 Ford F-450 to use your hitch-mounted flag pole mount with the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR. What you would do is add a TorkLift hitch that has two receivers, with the bottom being a 2" receiver and the top being a 2-1/2" receiver, though it does come with a 2" adapter sleeve. The correct fit for your '20 F-450 is the following: - TorkLift SuperHitch...

  • Will MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer MR22AR Work On Grand Design Reflection 31MB?
As long as your Grand Design Reflection 31MB has a 2" trailer hitch receiver on the back of it, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the ground measures 19" - 39-3/4" then the MORryde Hitch Mounted Trailer Stabilizer for 2" Trailer Hitches # MR22AR you were looking at will work perfectly. • Recommended Front Stabilizers for A-Frame Camper
Since you don't want to install scissor jacks I recommend using the Ultra-Fab Stackable Stabilizers for Small Trailers and Campers # UF48-979003. These have a height adjustment of 11-17" and each one has a capacity of 6,000 lbs. They're perfect for an application like yours where you don't want to permanently mount a stabilizer. They also stack up when you store them so they won't take up a lot of space.
