Features to know about

Keeps Air Moving Without Letting Rain In: Sloped Exterior with Corner Drain Holes

This vent is built to move air while keeping rain out. The exterior piece is sloped so water naturally runs off instead of seeping in. Inside, a baffle channels any stray drops toward corner drain holes, so moisture doesn’t pool or leak through. It’s a simple design that works well for weather protection in all kinds of conditions.

Adjusts for the Right Airflow: Interior Butterfly Vent with Sliding Door

The round interior piece has a butterfly-style door that slides open or closed, letting you control how much air comes through. Close it up when you want to reduce dust or drafts, or open it wide for airflow when things get warm inside. It’s easy to adjust and gives you hands-on control over ventilation.

Built to Last Through the Elements: Steel Construction with Powder Coated Finish

The exterior vent is made from sturdy steel and finished in a white powder coat that helps it resist rust and wear. The interior grille is zinc-plated for added durability. Together they make a rugged setup that stands up to sun, rain, and rough road use without cracking or fading.

Straightforward Install with Standard Hardware: Fits 6" Diameter Hole or Smaller

The two-piece design mounts cleanly with built-in threaded holes for the interior vent. It fits a 6" diameter hole or smaller, and you’ll need 20 screws for the exterior and four #10/32 machine screws for the interior. For walls up to 1/2" thick, use machine screw 29515 and sealant (both sold separately) to finish it off tight and dry.

Looks Clean and Matches Up Well: Glossy White Finish

The exterior vent has a glossy white color that blends neatly with most surfaces. It looks clean and bright once mounted, matching well with white panels for a finished look that doesn’t stand out or clash.

These vents are great. No more junk plastic that you have to replace in a year.

by:

Could have used a paper template for hole layout patterns. Well made, should keep the elements out.

by:

It looks like it will do what I need it to do.. haven't had a chance to put it in to my trailer yet.

by:

Great customer service , excellent customer follow up, Great shopping experience Thanks Carol, will be doing business again, and again

by:

Fast shipping and arrived just as ordered, thanks!

by:

I bought two of these for a 16' trailer. They are even better than I had hoped for! Fast service, great product, good packaging.

by:

Just what I expected per the web site info. Good heavy duty item, great price. Within minutes of placing order I had a confirmation of the order, within 1 1/2 hours I received notice that it was shipped. Great job guys, thanks

by:

High quality products at a good value delivered on time; that's been my experience with etrailer so far. Website's easy to use as well.

by:

High quality professional grade painted vent grills not available anywhere else. The e-Trailer team was outstanding as usual.

by:

The vent is substantial- well made. I couldn't find a replacement for a broken vent cover that was large enough until someone at etrailer suggested this one. It turned out to be an excellent solution.

by:

These trailer vents are really nice. They may be a bit expensive but they’re worth the price and the quality is great. I would recommend this product to anyone needing a high quality vent for their trailer

by:

Hello all. Parts came quick. All parts where in box. Only thing I think could be better is the packaging of the parts my package was busting open at one of the seams I feel the cardboard was not strong enough and the tape was not thick enough to protect the box from ripping.

by:

Provides for air flow while diverting rain.
Pre-painted inside and out to prevent rust staining on exterior of trailer.
Mounting accessories are included.
Only one negative for me: the closing device restricts airflow by 50% when fully opened—so I won’t be using it.
Overall an excellent product.

Excellent. No complaints. We’ll designed and well made. Greatest air passage of any wall-mounted units I researched. Looks and works great. Excellent value.

by:

Items purchased were as advertised. Decent quality. Nothing spectacular, but what I needed for my trailer.

The part of this transaction (not my first purchase from etrailer), is when there was a product availability issue, an etrailer representative telephoned to let me know of the delay. Later, etrailer sent a shipping status email.

Online shopping has its pros and cons. etrailer obviously has their act together to ensure top customer service!

by:

We used these vents to provide air circulation on a used 8' x 20' box/shed from an old box truck. The E-Track sockets gave us shelf supports for more storage in the box. All products worked well.

by:

Great experience with etrailer. Ordered a Fulton Spare Tire carrier and Roof Vent and my shipment arrived in 3 days. Fast delivery! I had to exchange the roof vent and couldn't be happier with etrailer.com customer service. Fast, courteous and the exchange was hassle free. I had the new vent in 3 days even before returning the original one. It just doesn't get any better than etrailer.com

by:

We're ordered these vents to help reduce the condensation build up in our toy hauler camper conversion. With these adjustable vents, the problem has gone away. They work perfectly.

The vents that we installed o on our toy hauler camper conversion have been working perfectly. The moisture issue that we were experiencing is cured

by:

Received the product in a timely manner. It had a small dent but I still used it. Technically the vent should be installed in s roof surface. I installed it vertically in the back door of my Promaster van. Recently I installed a Fletner rotary vent on the roof. This vent is my makeup air for the flettner. Can't beat it for the price. Simple and durable.

by:

Using a couple of these to ventilate my trailer, right where the fan on the jetter's engine is located. The baffled design seems well suited to provide ventilation without allowing water in. Construction seems sturdy albeit a couple fins were slightly bent. Didn't matter to me though since this is a work trailer.

I don't think it came with instructions, but then again, you're probably handy if you're buying this yourself. The loctite sealant on this site seems well suited for the job. Yes, I had some overage and installed this in low light conditions but hopefully I can clean it up later. It's tough stuff.

I have a commercial reach in cooler in my food truck. The compressor sits on the top. I took a temperature reading at just over 200 degrees on a 89 degree Florida day. After installing the Redline vent, the temperature has never gone above 105 degrees. That's a 100 degree difference! I did not use the butterfly damper as i wanted it to be always open. i added a vent cover with a sleeve, because of the 3" gap in the ceiling.

Looking at the picture of the truck you can barely see the vent top from 25' away. I didn't need more drag going down the road. With the low profile of the vent I get rid of heat and no drag. Perfect.

After having this product installed for a year it has performed flawlessly. No water drips in, and we have some pretty good daily storms in Florida. Evacuates the heat so when I enter the food truck I dont get slammed with heat. I think I need to put one on top of my pick up. When I get in it I can hardly breathe .

  • Solar Powered Roof Vent for Cargo Trailer
I have a solution for you, it is a smaller fan unit but we have an item that will function in the way you are looking for. The MaxxFan Mini Plus Manual RV Roof Vent, # MA00-03851 that you linked to needs a fairly stable power supply of 12 VDC and draws slightly less than 2 amps to operate. Wiring directly to solar panel will not support this as the power will fluctuate greatly and eventually damage the electronics in the in the fan. To operate, you need a stable 12 VDC power supply from...

  • Function Of Trailer Vents On Enclosed Trailer
The vents we offer for an enclosed trailer like part # 9139 are designed to allow air into the trailer. None of the vents we offer create a pressurized condition in the trailer and none are equipped with an air filtration system to keep dust out. Some of the features on the vents like # 9139 allow you to adjust the amount of airflow in the trailer with a butterfly valve mounted on the inside of the vent which would be operated from inside the trailer. Other trailer vents, like part #...

  • Should Louvers of 2-Piece Exterior Wall Vent for Enclosed Trailers Face Up or Down
Hey Ken, I would recommend having the vent louvers of the 2-Piece Exterior Wall Vent for Enclosed Trailers # 9139 facing down so that rain wouldn't make it's way into them. Even with the drain holes if you had a heavy enough of a rain you'd still run risk of it directing water into your trailer. Is there a reason you wanted to have them flipped?

  • Recommended Exterior Wall Vent
Yes, it is! The 2-Piece Exterior Wall Vent for Enclosed Trailers item # 9139 would work great as a vent for your air conditioner. It has exterior dimensions of 12" long x 10" wide x 2" thick and interior dimensions of 7-1/4" diameter x 3/16" thick.

  • How Does Enclosed Trailer Vent Keep Rain Out of Trailer?
The enclosed trailer vents we offer are designed to keep the rain out and the best option would be the 2-Piece Side Vent for Enclosed Trailers # 9139. As you can see from the accompanying photo the exterior piece is angled to keep rainwater out and it also has an interior baffle that will direct rainwater to drain holes in the corner of the vent. The butterfly vent also allows you to close it if you'd like. To install this vent you will need 20 screws and four #10/32 machine screws as well...

If you mount the Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # WHMAV2-WAVT2 with the exterior part's flat slotted side facing forward (to increase air flow) there will definitely be a greater probability for rain and splashed water to enter the trailer. Still, as you noted from the customer-submitted photos we show on that item's page some have done this, and surely for the same reason. If you happened to stay in dry/desert areas this will be less of a concern but since you are in the...

  • Attaching the Redline 2-Piece Roof Vent to the Front Side of a Cargo Trailer
Yes, you can mount the Redline 2-Piece Roof Vent, # 9139, on the front side of your cargo trailer. You will want to mount this vent with the vent slots facing down to prevent rain water or other elements from getting into the trailer. If you are looking for vents for the front side of your trailer, then I would recommend the 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent, # HMAV2-AVT2. This vent is designed specifically for the sides of trailers and is an inexpensive option that is also available...

  • Will 2-Piece Side Vent for Enclosed Trailer # 9139 Prevent Dust From Getting into Trailer
If you close the vent of the 2-Piece Side Vent for Enclosed Trailer # 9139 you'd greatly reduce dust getting into your trailer. It's not air tight though so some might make it through but I wouldn't expect it to be a level that you'd notice.

  • Metal Side Vent for Enclosed Trailer
The best option for a metal side vent for your enclosed trailer is the 2-Piece Side for Enclosed Trailers - Metal - 10" x 12" # 9139 because its exterior will shed rain like you wanted, has a butterfly vent which you can turn if you wanted to adjust the amount of air flow. • Selecting Replacement Trailer Roof Vent
Trailer roof vents that are square in shape are usually 14 x 14-inches and are intended to fit a slightly larger 14-1/4 x 14-1/4-inch rough roof opening. I linked our main page for all roof vents; these include a majority in the 14 x 14 size but others are offered as well.
