Do they sell just the rubber grease cap? Mine has a slight tear in it.

The Grease Cap Plug for Dexter Axle E-Z Lube Grease Caps - Qty. 2 # DX89HR is the correct replacement for your torn rubber plug. Since it's a Dexter-branded part, it's a great choice if you're looking to keep everything OEM.

If brand isn't a concern, the Grease Cap Plug for E-Z Lube Grease Caps - Qty. 2 # RG04-010 is also a compatible replacement.

Both of these rubber plugs measure 1.18 inches in diameter, which is the standard opening size for E-Z Lube style grease caps.

Out of curiosity, what type of camper or trailer are you doing maintenance on?

I have replaced all of my factory grease caps with these from etrailer. Much better quality than the ones that came on my Grand Design. The metal caps come with the rubber inserts and are a better (tigher) fit.

I will usually just replace the cap and plug; it's just a few dollars more. Using Dexter, it's a brand I am familiar with for its form, fit and function. If the caps are good, the price for the etrailer RG04-010 plugs would be a serious consideration. I also make sure there is a thin layer of bearing grease around the plug to cap sealing area, to make removal/installation easier, reduce plug cutting and increase sealing efficiency (it's a boat trailer thing).
