Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the disc brake caliper for the Dexter 10,000 and 12,000 pound hydraulic disc brakes. This part will include the caliper itself and the pistons, and this does require a quarter inch by 28 lead port, which we do sell separately on our website, it's part number VP18-016 and we do list that as a related product on this product page.But that should do it for the review on the disc brake caliper for the Dexter 10,000 pound and 12,000 pound hydraulic disc brakes.

We had a customer stuck in Florida from Minnesota. This order was shipped all together in one box with NO packing material. Eight of the twenty dust caps were damaged beyond repair because of poor shipping practices, and this is not the first time. Very frustrating

How Many O-Rings are Used on Disc Brake Caliper for Dexter 10K & 12K Hydraulic Disc Brakes
A caliper like the Disc Brake Caliper for Dexter 10K & 12K Hydraulic Disc Brakes # BP18-045 uses four of the # 010-062-00 O-rings. These are designed to go onto the brake caliper guide bolts, two for each bolt. If you need additional parts we have the Caliper Rebuild Kit for 10,000-lb and 12,000-lb Dexter Disc Brakes # BP18-075. This kit comes with the four O-rings, two piston seats, two boots, and a bleeder screw. I have attached a review video for your reference.

How to Install Replacement 11" Rotor for Dexter 10K or 12K Disc Brakes
Attached is a photo of how the Replacement 11" Rotor for Dexter Disc Brakes # 070-006-01 that you referenced fits with the hub. To replace your brake pads # BP04-395 you need to remove the bolts holding the old ones in place, take the cap off of your actuator, then use an old brake pad or some other material with a clamp to push the pistons on the caliper # BP18-045 so that they are flush with the rest of the caliper. Diameter of Pistons Holes for Pistons and Holes for Shoulder Bolts on Dexter Brake Caliper BP18-045
I went out to the warehouse and pulled caliper # BP18-045 to measure it. The overall diameter of the holes where the pistons are is 3 inches. The piston diameter is 2-3/8 inches. And the shoulder bolts are 5/8 inch diameter and 5 inches long so the holes will be slightly larger at 0.63 inches. Since this caliper has a specific application, Dexter 10k and 12k disc brakes, I cannot gaurantee that it will work with any other system.
