Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a sturdy material that is great for use on marine trailers. A PVC roller is more durable than a rubber roller, but it's also soft enough to absorb road shock when your boat's in tow. And PVC is corrosion resistant, even in saltwater.
PVC is also non-marring, so it won't damage or discolor your boat upon contact. Rubber rollers can leave marks on your boat's hull as you load and unload. With PVC, on the other hand, you won't need to worry about any scuffs or smears on your boat.

Today we're gonna take a look at the CE Smith bow roller assembly with bells for four-inch-wide bracket.These are going to provide that rolling portion up at the top of your bow to help your boat go into place and also to protect it.This is going to be made of a polyvinyl chloride, or PVC, construction, so it's going to be durable, but we don't have to worry about any scratches or mars getting onto our boat. A lot of times, with traditional rubber, it can leave marks going up the front of our bow. We don't have to worry about that with this, and these aren't going to crumble and fall apart like your traditional rubber. A lot of times, that rubber will dry out and crack and crumble. This is going to stay together a lot longer.It's good for use in fresh water, as well as salt water. We don't have to worry about any corrosion with this.
The hardware is zinc-coated, so, again, we don't have to worry about any corrosion there.This material, while it is durable, it's also pliable enough that it's going to provide a little bit of road shock protection for our boat, so as we're going down the road, it'll absorb some of that road shock and keep our boat from getting damaged by any bumps along the way.This is going to work with a four-inch-wide center roller bracket that is not sold with this, but you can pick it up separately. That part number is CE31005PG. You can find that right here at etrailer.com.Overall, our bells will measure about eight inches whenever they're mounted up on that bracket, from the outside edge to outside edge. This inner bell is about three and three-quarter inches wide. The depth of this V is kind of hard to measure, but it's about two inches from the top edge down to the middle.We'll get our hardware.
It's going to be our half-inch bolt, that's the shaft diameter, with the washer on either side and our locknut.It does come with this nice amber color. Makes it a little bit easier to see, and, overall, it's going to do a great job for you for a long time.That's going to do it for our look at the CE Smith bow roller assembly with bells for four-inch-wide bracket.

Very well but I am seeing some hardening and transfer to the bow of the boat.
Looks good. Much bigger than my original so hopefully it will work better.

Nice product, replacing an old black rubber bow roller that left marks on my boat finish. Much better, thought these would be a little more pliable though.

Its been holding up and still looking good.
front boat roller was just what I needed to replace a worn one. Etrailer seems to have everything needed for any kind of towing. Very easy to order, and the delivery times are super fast- this order arrived two days faster than expected- don't know how they do that, but they do it.
Very easy install work to protect the bow of the boat while loading.

The bow roller is doing it’s job just fine the bow rolls off just like it is supposed to and makes loading and unloading nice and smooth

Worked Perfectly. The roller that came with my brand new boat and trailer left yellow streaks on the front of my boat almost impossible to remove. Just swapped it out for the New CE Smith Bow Roller and it didn't leave any marks! Fit on my Boatmate Trailer that came with my MB Sports Boat.

One year later this product is holding up great. Should have purchased it sooner. Great product, great service, great price!
Had this installed for a year now. Seems to be holding up well to loading and unloading of boat roughly 25-30 times. Would purchase again.
All products are great! Customer service was great! and most importantly we received all items earlier than expected. Great Job!
