Choosing a charge controller should not come down to guessing how many panels it can handle. This 20-amp controller supports up to 260 watts of solar on a 12V system or 520 watts on a 24V system, giving you clear limits to work with as you plan your array. The controller automatically recognizes 12V or 24V battery banks and includes settings for common lithium and lead-acid battery types. You can use a preset charging profile or adjust the settings for a compatible custom setup.
This MPPT controller continually finds the array's most productive operating point, then converts excess panel voltage into additional charging current. This can be especially useful with higher-voltage panel configurations, colder temperatures, or changing sunlight. More of the available solar energy reaches your battery without requiring you to adjust the controller throughout the day. This differs from a PWM controller that brings panel voltage down close to the voltage of the battery. That straightforward approach can work well for a smaller, properly matched solar setup, especially when simplicity and lower cost are priorities. When panel voltage is higher than battery voltage, however, some of the panel's available output may go unharvested.
When your battery is not charging as expected, you should not have to troubleshoot the entire system blindly. The LCD screen and LED indicators show operating information, charging status, selected settings, and error codes in one accessible place. Controls on the front of the unit let you review or adjust compatible battery settings without taking the controller apart. An RS232 communication port also supports connection to a compatible BT-1 Bluetooth module for systems that need remote monitoring.
A crossed connection, overloaded circuit, or charging problem can put your battery and solar equipment at risk. Built-in electronic protection responds to reverse polarity, overcharging, over-discharging, overloads, short circuits, and reverse current. The die-cast aluminum housing helps release heat during operation. With an IP32 protection rating, the controller should be installed in a protected location away from heavy rain, spray, and direct outdoor exposure.

Now this is designed for your 12 volt or 24 volt DC battery and solar systems. This is gonna work with your lithium ions, sealed, gel and flooded lead acid batteries. And this is going to automatically detect between 12 volt or 24 volt DC system voltages. So this solar charge controller is gonna optimize power output and battery charging, ensuring reliable performance for off-grid and RV setups.
This has innovated MPPT technology with high tracking efficiency up to 99% and peak conversion efficiency of 98%. This also features electronic protection against reverse polarity, overcharging, over discharging, overload, short circuiting and reverse current. Also it has a diverse load control and it's also capable of charging over discharged lithium batteries. As you probably already saw, this does include an LCD screen and multiple LED indicators for displaying system operation information, customizable parameters and error codes. This also has a RS-232 port to communicate with the Bluetooth mod, BT-1 one Bluetooth module.
So actually that plugs in here for the temperature it looks like, but so you do have that RS-232 port. This also has an advanced maximum power point tracking algorithm that can quickly locate the best working point in the IV curve to significantly improve the system's energy efficiency. And really this has a a user-friendly design that's gonna make it a perfect addition to your solar energy system. The die cast aluminum design is going to allow for efficient heat dissipation, as you can see, we do have these fins here on the back. Lemme give you some measurements here.
Looking at the overall height, we're sitting pretty close to 8-1/4" tall. The overall width, right at about almost 6" wide, thickness, let's say, right about 2-1/2" thick.
