Does the rich solar panel mega 200 briefcase have a charge controller built in or do I need to get separate charge controller?

Hey Leonard, welcome back! The Rich Solar Mega 200 Portable Solar Panel # RS85FR does not have a built-in charge controller. It's designed to connect to an existing solar setup that already has one, or a portable power station with a built-in controller. If you're planning to use it to charge your RV batteries directly, you'll need to add a separate solar controller like # RS42FR.

What are you planning to use the solar panel with?

I have a solar generator that the came with the panels, just wanted to be able to use panels without solar generator if needed.

@Leonard got it! If you want to use the panel independently of your solar generator to charge a battery, you'll need to add the separate charge controller. Otherwise, you should be good as is.
