Protect your solar setup from wiring slip-ups, overcharging, and shorts with the Bravo charge controller. Built-in Bluetooth lets you monitor charging from your smartphone, and clear directions make DIY installs easier so you stay powered.
Swapping batteries or running a custom system? No need to stress. This controller works with lithium, AGM, gel, and 6 other battery types, and it auto-detects 12V or 24V systems. You can fine-tune the settings for your unique build with the press of a button, and built-in Bluetooth lets you monitor system status from your smartphone. For most RV and off-grid rigs, 40 amps gives you plenty of room for solar upgrades - just keep in mind there's a limit to how many panels you can run through one controller. For a 12-volt system this controller can support four or five 100-watt panels; a 24-volt system can use four or five 200-watt panels.
The Bravo's MPPT technology constantly tracks and adjusts to get the maximum solar harvest from your panels even when the sun moves or clouds roll in. No need to mess with settings or chase sunlight; just hook up your system and let the controller handle the details. You'll see faster charging and better results, all on autopilot.
Mistakes happen - wires get crossed, or a connection isn't perfect. The Bravo has your back, guarding against overcharging, shorts, reverse polarity, and more. It's built to catch those little slip-ups, so you don't have to sweat every connection.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Rich Solar BRAVO 40 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller. Now, the job of this controller is to sit between your solar panels and your battery bank and make sure that your batteries are charging efficiently, safely, and as fast as possible. What makes this nice is the MPPT technology, that stands for a Maximum Power Point Tracking, which basically means that this controller's gonna constantly look for that sweet spot where your solar panels are producing the most power and convert that power efficiently for battery charging. Compared to cheaper PWM controllers, you usually get more usable energy, especially in cooler weather or partial sunlight.
Now this controller can handle up to 40 amps of charging current, which makes it a pretty solid choice for medium sized solar systems. This is gonna work with 12 or 24-volt battery systems, and this is going to automatically detect which one you're using. So setup is gonna be pretty simple. The maximum solar panel open circuit voltage is 100 volts, and this is going to be pretty flexible with batteries, whether you're running AGM, flooded, lead acid, gel, or lithium LiFePO4 batteries, this controller is going to support those batteries. That's gonna be especially useful for RVs or off-grid setups where you may upgrade batteries later.
As you probably already saw, you're going to get a built-in LCD screen that's gonna show real-time info like battery charging, status, voltage, and current, and many setups use Bluetooth monitoring and this is gonna be one of them and you're gonna be able to check everything from your smartphone. Now on the safety side, this has all the protections that you want, over-voltage, reverse polarity, overheating, and short-circuit protection. So it's gonna help protect both your batteries and your solar equipment. Lemme go ahead and give you some measurements just so you have a good idea of the size. So I'm gonna be measuring this first from the widest point here.
So looking at that first, we're sitting pretty close to seven and 3/4 inches wide. The overall height looks like we are right at about five and 5/8ths inches tall. And then the overall depth, almost three inches deep. Lemme get this more into the frame here so you can see. Yeah, I'm gonna say almost three inches deep.
You are gonna get hardware here and instructions to guide you through the operation and installation. So if you're building or upgrading an RV, a camper, boat, or off-grid solar system, you want something that's gonna be efficient, battery-friendly, and future-proof. This is a strong mid-range controller that's gonna balance performance and reliability without being overkill. If you happen to have any other questions though about this or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Great upgrade for my lithium batteries!
Rich Solar Bravo Flush Mount 30 amp MPPT Controller. Easy install, easy start up with atuto detect. Does not get easier. Now lets see how long it lasts.
I purchased this Rich solar controller to replace the Go Power PWM solar controller that came installed in our 2025 Flagstaff 22fbs micro lite travel trailer. I wanted the MPPT controller beacause it is more efficient. We also added a second 200 watt solar panel purchased from etrailer for a total of 400 watts of solar. I needed a recessed unit and this fit the bill. I put this controller in the same spot as the factory unit. I just had to make the cutout a few inches larger and hook up the existing wires and screw the unit to the cabinet. Install took about 45 minutes. All seems to be working just fine.
