Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: 6,000-lb Rear Suspension Support

Heavy trailers and bed loads can make the rear of your truck sag and throw off handling. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of load support to keep your ride level when towing or hauling gear. The hollow Aeon rubber springs mount above the rear axle, working with your factory suspension to maintain a stable ride height and better steering and braking no matter how much weight is in back.

Smooth Ride When Empty, Firm Support When Loaded: Progressive Rubber Springs

These hollow rubber springs stay clear of the axle under light loads, so your truck rides just like stock when empty. As you add weight, the convoluted design compresses progressively—soft at first, then more rigid as the load increases. That means smooth comfort on daily drives and firm support when towing or carrying heavy cargo.

Keep Control Through Corners and Crosswinds: Independent Spring Action

Each spring works on its own to support the driver or passenger side as needed. That independent action keeps your vehicle steady when making sharp turns or hauling uneven loads. It also helps reduce body roll and trailer sway, so highway gusts or a passing semi don’t push you around.

Timbren suspension system reducing body roll and squat to improve vehicle stability during cornering and uneven loads

Built Simple and Tough: No Air Lines, No Adjustments

The system bolts to existing frame points in place of factory bump stops—no drilling, air hoses, compressors, or manual adjustments required. The durable rubber design absorbs road shock and prevents bottoming out on rough roads while extending the life of your suspension components. It’s a straightforward setup that’s made to last and ready for real work.

Ordering and shipping great. Good value. Installation simple although I did have experienced help. I tow a 30' TT, approx 6500#, with a Titan. The Timbrens have helped with sway control. Recommended.

Very easy to install even though the istructions haven't been updated to the '17-'19 model year Titans. You have to remove the bump stop that is mounted to the top (instructions show it mounted to the leaf spring). To install the bump stops simply pull out, then you remove the mounting plate with a 1/2" socket, then follow the included instructions.

I bought this to help my pickup sit more level and to help provide a little extra lateral stability in crosswinds when towing my travel trailer. It certainly helps with being more level, but I haven't towed in the wind yet to see if it helps in that area. I measured the top of the tire to the fender and it is 5.5" in the front, 5.25" in the rear with the travel trailer fully loaded and ready for camping.

I gave this four stars because it looked like it was used when it showed up. It doesn't have to be pretty, but I really don't like buying new items and receiving used ones.

So far soo good. Very easy to install on my 04 Nissan Titan. Took a little over two hours total to assemble all the tools lift the truck, set up my pneumatic tools, remove old bumppad and install new spring helpers. Hauled my first load of 2700 pounds of gravel. Much improved ride and vehicle control compared with stock suspension. Also rear end was atleast 3 inches higher than stock

Glad to hear that you are happy with your Timbren suspension kit! Please just keep in mind that while this kit does enhance your vehicle suspension, it will not increase the actual weight capacity of your vehicle. This is the same among all of the suspension enhancement products.

by:
The Timbren Aeon Spring System Vehicle Suspension was easy to install on my 2005 Nissan Titan. The only problem I have is that the, per the Timbren instructions, your load is only taken on by the Tembren (rubbers) after the load on your vehicle's leaf springs depressing allows contact with rubbers. Only on my truck the it's the opposite. I'm riding on the rubbers without any extra weight in my bed, causing a very uncomportable ride, and a lot of unnecessary bouncing around. It's great when I'm pulling my 26' travel trailer, or my fully loaded 16' wood hauling utility trailer. They also make the back of my tailgate higher, making it harder to load and unload. After I bring my travel trailer down from my hunting camp the Timbren rubbers are coming off.

installed on my Nissan Titan, especially on rough roads! Timbren should have used a much softer rubber spring for this application. I chose to remove these after only one week because I could not tolerate the ride. Unfortunately I didn't experience this product under a loaded condition when pulling my travel trailer. I am going to try the Firestone Workrite product next (I hope it is better), sine I want to stick with an airless helper spring system.

This is the second truck that I own which I have them on. I have them on my Ford diesel truck which I pull a 12000 lb 5th wheel, and now my nissan truck for pulling my boat and 4 wheeled. These are a great cheap investment which I recommend.

Threw these on my 06 Nissan Titan. Towed a 5th wheel from Colorado to New Jersy and back. The drive felt great with these on.

Everything was good until I found the bolt did not have the six sided head formed on it.(see attached) It took longer(45 mins) to get a replacement bolt at Ace Hardware than it was to install. Oops Timbren a fail. Gary

Very satisfied! Easy to install and use on my Nissan Titan. I didn’t even need to remove the wheel to install it. Now my truck does not squat when pulling a trailer or carrying heavy load.

Awesome. Easy to install. Much better than OEM bump stop.

Installed the Timbren TFR250SDJ on my 2025 F-250 Platinum Plus 4WD Short Bed with 6.7 HO Powerstroke. Fit perfectly. It takes a few minutes to get the bags attached to the base. It seems like the bolt is too long but I used a vise to hold the unit while I tightened it down more and cinched the bag to the base. So if it seems it wont get tight enough and is still loose, find a way to secure the base... there's still a few more turns.

Attaching to the truck takes a few minutes to remove the OEM (2 nuts) and a few minutes to install the Timbren SES. I added about 45 minutes by dropping one of the nuts, which I finally found inside the shock absorber bracket!!

I used a hand socket but would recommend air or power tools, if you can get to the nuts, but it can be done manually. Probably took me a few extra minutes with a socket wrench because of limited space, and I'm old!

I have not tested the SES under load yet, but I was really more concerned with the ride unloaded.I ended up with a gap right at 1" between the peg and bottom of the SES. Some reviews said the unloaded ride worsened. So I drove to the nearest small town with horrible streets, bumps, holes, broken concrete, sewer covers 3" below the asphalt, etc. On the highway, the ride was perfect, completely unaffected. On my bad road obstacle course, I thought the ride improved significantly. So I think the system will give a better ride unloaded. It was a little stiffer, less roll, and smoother. It was not "bouncy" or jarring, like some reviews mention. Very smooth and felt beefier on bad roads.

I'll update after I've driven loaded. I tow a 12,000# 2025 Rockwood TT 36' with a ProPride 3P hitch. We put 7,000 miles on it across 15 states this past year, so I've definitely got a "before" baseline using the OEM bumpers.

The ordering process was great. Naomi D had great product knowledge. At first I thought I was talking to my granddaughter, but after putting her through the paces, It felt like I was getting sage advice from my Grandfather. e-Trailer seems to really invest in their customer service reps knowledge base. Also completely satisfied with the order process and delivery. They were able to mail to our PO Box, which seems to be a problem for most (our physical address is a gate on the side of a highway, with cows on the other side).

100% satisfied so far and would recommend both e-trailer and Timbren to a friend. Will update once I've done some towing, but can say the unloaded ride is unaffected or improved for my application. So far, very happy.

Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed review and all of the pictures! The unloaded ride is a concern we hear fairly often with SES upgrades, so your experience with the 1" gap and rough-road testing will be really helpful to others considering these for their F-250. We appreciate the kind words about Naomi and our team as well. Looking forward to your update once you get some miles on them with the Rockwood!

I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.
You rawk!!

Love hearing this! Really appreciate the detailed feedback and photos. That extra stability when you're loaded up can make a huge difference. And installing them at 11 at night—that's commitment. Hope they treat you just as well on those mountain roads. Safe travels and we'll definitely make sure Dee Dee gets the shoutout.

  • Comparing The Timbren # TNRTTNB And # TNRTTN For A 2024 Nissan Titan SV
Hey Mitchell, The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TNRTTNB is designed specifically for Pro 4x models so it wouldn't be the right fit for your SV. Both the # TNRTTNB and # TNRTTN (which would be a fit for your SV) have 5" tall springs. The # TNRTTNB uses HCS M8 x 50 x 1.25 Grade 8.8 zinc coated bolts and the # TNRTTN uses HCS M10 x 40 x 1.5 Grade 8.8 zinc coated bolts. These both have a 6,000lb capacity and will make a significant difference to your unloaded ride quality. I personally...

  • Recommended Timbren Suspension Enhancement System for 2010 Nissan Titan
Since you are towing a travel trailer, you are going to want to use a Timbren system that enhances your rear suspension. Should your 2010 Nissan Titan be a 4 wheel drive model you would want # TNRTTN, and for 2 wheel drive models you'd want # TTORTUN4. This system is going to level out your ride and help reduce sag when hauling heavier loads. They install without requiring drilling and replace your axle's bump stops. I've included a photo showing what a Timbren looks like installed on...

  • Will Timbren Suspension Enhancement System Increase Payload of 2012 Nissan Titan Pro 4X?
Adding suspension enhancement like the Timbren # TNRTTN you referenced does substantially help with load support and reducing sag, however it does not increase the payload capacity of your truck. Your 2012 Nissan Titan Pro 4X will have the same 1850 lbs of payload but the system will assist with stability by reducing squat, reducing body roll, and assisting with shock absorption. It will assist far better than adding a leaf spring as that will change the ride of your truck when not...

  • Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer With 2006 Nissan Titan
From what you describe, your trailer isn't very heavy. Pin weight can range from 15-20 percent of the trailer weight, or up to 25 percent for some larger toy haulers. Worst case scenario, you're looking at about 1500 lbs or so of pin weight which is pretty minimal. To determine the towing capacity of your truck, take a look at the sticker on the driver's door jamb. Look for the GCWR, the gross combined weight rating. This represents the maximum amount the trailer and truck can weigh....

  • Is There A Spacer Available For A SumoSprings Solo Helper Spring On A 2019 Nissan Titan
As you mentioned your 2019 Nissan Titan being a work truck there will be another option, but there is no spacer available for the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS95GR, unfortunately. With that said, as the # SS95GR is rated to 1,500 pounds of capacity, you may want to go with a higher rated product, like the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TNRTTN. This will have a 6,000 pound capacity and will do a better job for getting rid of the sag, but I do have to mention...

Yes, the Timbren 1/2" Spacer # TA25722-90P00 is compatible with the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TNRTTN for your 2017 Nissan Titan. Please note that per the linked instructions for the suspension kit Timbren says that there should be a 1/2" - 1-1/2" gap between the rubber spring and contact point when there is no load in the vehicle. If you installed this kit and you have 1/2" of space then you actually won't need the spacer.

The safe bet would be the Timbrens that we know will fit. Such as the Timbren kit # TTORTUN4 for 2-wheel-drive Titans (or part # TNRTTN for 4-wheel drive models).
