When the rear end drops under a heavy load, handling and steering can quickly feel off. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 2,400 lbs of support above the rear axle to keep your vehicle level and steady when towing or hauling gear. The hollow rubber springs replace the factory bump stops and automatically add resistance as weight increases, keeping your ride height even and maintaining proper traction and braking.

Rough pavement and uneven terrain can make a loaded ride harsh. Timbren’s Aeon hollow rubber springs compress progressively to absorb road shock and cushion bumps so the truck feels more controlled over potholes, washboards, or jobsite ruts. With no air lines or compressors needed, these rubber helpers work quietly in the background to smooth out the drive while extending the life of your vehicle’s suspension.

When a trailer starts to sway or a curve pushes your vehicle sideways, each Timbren spring acts on its own to support that side. This independent action cuts down body roll, reduces bounce when turning, and helps off-center loads stay balanced. The result is better stability through mountain passes or when a passing semi sends a gust your way.

Adding load support doesn’t need to be complicated. The Timbren system bolts directly onto the frame rails above the axle using included brackets and hardware—no drilling required. Once installed, there’s nothing to adjust or maintain, just reliable performance every time you hook up a trailer or load the bed.

It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.
My F53 was like driving a waterbed down the road. With the Timbrens, it’s a different vehicle. Should have installed them years ago. Etrailer is my go to for anything trailer. FAST shipping and prompt responses to questions or concerns.
2022 F250 Super Duty. Super easy to install. I have about 3/4" gap between the spring and the plate. Time will tell how they impact the ride quality and how much sag they mitigate with my 5th wheel hooked up.
Timbren Spring Helpers were exactly what I needed on my Tundra plus a spacer kit since I have a 3” TRD lift. They were packaged neatly, with proper hardware, and excellent instructions! They absolutely do exactly what they are supposed to do! Truck rides much better and helps level out the load!
Great upgrade when pulling our 6500lb travel trailer. Helps with sag and control on the road on our Ram 1500. Change the stock shocks and if you choose, upgrade your stock springs, and you'll get the most out of your half ton.
I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.
You rawk!!
Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! Ordering from etrailer continues to be my go to option!
Always the right products, as expected and on time
Item was as described and arrived on time. The part was very easy to install, less than an hour.
Great service, very prompt, another quality product.
My JEEP is not used HARD off road. Took the Lean out of the cab on street turns
The bump stops worked better than expected.
etrailer has never failed in service or quality of their products!!!
These bump stops were shockingly easy to install and they made a huge difference towing my little travel trailer. Finding a 2x4 the right height to press the chock into the receiver cup took the most time. The stock Jeep bump stops we’re easy to pry out.
Used on a Wrangler to tow a Humvee trailer (1101) in conjunction with Uncle Emu rear springs, and had no problems. The install was a little problematic, removed the tires for access to area, and ended up twisting them in place.
Just installed the Timbren rear suspension enhancement to my 2017 jeep wrangler and I am completely happy with the results!! The overall handling is greatly improved. Definitely worth the investment to enjoy a more stable and comfortable ride.
Disappointed. Not in the quality of Timbren's, but in fitment with this particular vehicle. As you can see in the attached picture, there is a 2" space between the Timbren's and the point of contact. 2" is way too much to have to sag or drop in order to even begin to have an opportunity to function. I want it to be known that I am a big fan and buyer of Timbren's, and even have them front and rear on my class c motorhome. In my opinion, a Timbren should only have a 1/2" to maximum of 1" space before coming into contact. Also because of the design, there is no option of being able to use 1/2" or 1" spacers readily available here on etrailer, which I have used with other Timbren vehicle applications. As far as installation, they were the easiest Timbren's I have ever installed. The existing bump stops came out by hand and without using tools. The new Timbren's were pushed into place by jacking up the back of the vehicle and putting a 3" block of wood in between the Timbren and the axle and then lowering the jack and in doing so, pushing the Timbren into place. 10 minute job! Now all I have to do is to figure out a way to design a 1" or 1 1/2" block or spacer to close the gap between the Timbren and point of contact. If I come up with a solution, I will update this review to help out other Jeep owners with this issue.
Just drove into hunting camp with our Jeep wrangler and our UTV on trailer behind. Was night and day prevented springs and shocks from bottoming out handles the rough terrain perfectly.

That is great to hear! I am glad they made your drive in much smoother. Where do you hunt? I'm guessing way back in the woods if you need a UTV as well.
