Easy install took about 20 minutes on my 2017 Ram 3500 SRW. Had about 1/2 inch clearance as recommended. Loaded up my 5th wheel (2350 hitch weight) and about 200 lbs of gear in the bed. Just got back from a 800 mile camping trip through mountains of TN. You can really feel the difference around those sharp corners and uneven surfaces. The truck felt firm and controlled not hard and jarring as some have mentioned. Going over those overpasses with the wonderfully smooth (Not) joists was greatly improved. The truck would squat and rebound again, with a firm controlled response. Driving without a load felt the same as before without them. I would highly recommend these! Ordering from etrailer continues to be my go to option!

We purchase the Timbren Suspenstion Ehahancement System for our 2021 Ford 550 plumbing truck. The F 550 plumbing truck has a full height 6'x 12' custom made enclosed steel service body. At the time of the purchase our salesman explain that Ford makes 2 versions of a F550 cab and chassis. one F550 light duty 17,500- heavy duty 19,500. We purchased the F550 light duty thinking we did not need that much carry capacity and lowering the overall purchase price.
Once the truck body was custom made and we drove it around for a few months we notice that the light duty suspension was a little soft due to the max weight we sometimes are hauling.
This is when we look into purchasing the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System. Once we installed this system we right away notice a big difference in the stability and handling of the F550 truck and are very impressed due to the cost and simplicity to install the product. Now after 1 year with the Timren Suspension we are very extremely happy that it is performing as well as the day they were installed. We have had no issues and would purchase this product again without any hesitation.

These work great on my F450 with towing my 21k lb 5th wheel. Also help the ride when unloaded. A cheaper alternative to airbags, and it took me about a hour and a half to install both sides. Very happy with this product

I like the Timbrens more. I am in the middle of a cross country adventure 4500 miles so far and the Timbrens are preforming great. And I am not a interstate rider, we take the rig back country, up and down 8 grades, twisty roads and bumby roads. Could not be happier.
Increased the ride height 1/2”-3/4” with the spacer. Really stiffened up the front by eliminating the sway.
No what I was expecting I have to remove I installed factory back
These are amazing! Simple to install, easy to read instructions, very straightforward. Hardest part was taking off the factory bump stops, but I was lying on my back using hand tools.
I put these on my F550 wrecker and they alleviated the squat I was experiencing when towing trucks.
In the photo you can compare the factory bump stop with the Timbren.
In my truck I did not use the extra spacer that is included in the kit. If I had jacked my truck up higher I could have used it. As it is right now the Timbren's are always in contact with my axle. In my opinion my unloaded ride is better as well.
I HIGHLY recommend these for tow trucks.
Installed on 2025 Ford F550. Installation was easy took about 2 hours to do front and rear bump stops. Used the supplied spacer ended up raising rear about a 1/2 inch which was the same as front. Purchased these due to truck sitting 1 1/2 inches lower on passenger side when Host Mammoth was loaded ( scaled at 18,600 lbs. with all tanks full). Didn’t have any excessive sway or bounce just not sitting as level as I would like. Did notice truck hitting bump stops a few times on both ends hoping theses smooth out the occasional bottoming out. Will update after I’ve loaded camper and made a few trips.
Accolade XT 35L - Timbren SES (TFRSDE - 12k support) loaded in the sweet spot.
These Timbrens should be used on F600 and F550 models. Do NOT use the spacers that come in the box. Just install the Timbrens without the spacers and you are good to go. When FULLY loaded (full gas/water and gear), the Timbrens should compress about 1/2”, which seems to be the sweet spot. The end results are as follows:
1. Better bump absorption and much better rebound. The inside chatter is more of a low sounding rumble and the suspension rebound is really quick.
2. Much better sway control and overall stability.
3. The drive feels more balanced front to rear. The rear drop was reduced by 1”. I think that allows the leaf springs and shocks to work in a more neutral position.
These are worth every penny and are a cheap “set it and forget it”way to improve your ride quality!
