Will Timbrens for 2023 Entegra Accolade XT 35L be Engaged at all Times

Updated 05/11/2026 | Published 05/06/2026

Question:

Hello, I just bought Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Rear Axle Part Number: TFRSDE for my 2023 Entegra Accolade XT 35L. They should arrive this Friday. I had them on my F350 when towing a toyhauler and loved them. I’m installing them on a 2023 Entegra Accolade XT 35L Super C and I can’t get a good reference on how these should sit at rest. My assumption is for them to be compressed or at the very least touching the axle at rest. I had about an inch gap on my F350 but they were fully compressed when I attached the fifth-wheel to the truck. My Super C though, is always riding under a full load, so it begs the question on the gap. I appreciate the response, thank you! Cheers, Dav3

Hey David, the Timbren kits like the # TFRSDE that you ordered are designed to have a small gap without a load on the tow vehicle like what you had on your F-350 when it was unloaded and then once loaded they will be engaged or at least touch the axle. So since your Super C is loaded they would be at the very least touching. The exact amount of compression though is hard to say. How does your Entegra handle currently?

By the way your camper Jeep and SXS look sick!!

Hey Jameson! appreciate the quick reply. I love this rig! It handles surprisingly well. Very little left or right and the front is pretty plush. The back needs some help when I’m hitting bumps. I’m trying to help reduce the jarring over big bumps and potholes. My initial thought was to have the timbrens compressed about a quarter of an inch, but I don’t want it to counteract the suspension, so maybe just barely touching? It’s funny, I’ve been overthinking this for about a month now and it’s driving me more crazy with them delivering on Friday. Lol Cheers, Dave

@DavidG Glad to help! I would start with barely touching and see how you like it. Timbrens can be harsh so I wouldn't try and get too aggressive.
