Recommended Suspension Enhancement System for 2017 Ford F-450 with 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

I tow a fifth wheel with a pin weight of 4600. My hitch weighs 300. I was looking at the Air Lift 5000 and 7500 air bags. Your opinion? Also on the search page it says the 7500 is NOT compatible with in bed hitches, but the main page says it’s ok. 2017 Ford F-450 Super Duty Thanks!

For your 2017 Ford F-450, the Air Lift options as you pointed out are not compatible with a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch. The manufacturer states that none of their current options for your vehicle will work with the 5th wheel hitch installed although they can work with other vehicle models.

My recommendation is to instead go with the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Rear Axle # TFRSDE. These aeon rubber springs absorb shock and increase in support as the load increases to give you support and reduce body roll. Each spring works independently so even off-center loads are supported well and your factory suspension is assisted helping it to last longer and operate better. These are compatible with your 5th wheel hitch and your vehicle.
