Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real brief look at this Gen-Y Serrated Hitch-mounted Step. Now this hitch step is going to slide into your two and a half inch hitch receiver and it's gonna give you a quick and easy access to your vehicle's truck bed, cargo area, or roof rack. The serrated, non-slip surface is going to give you a strong grip. It's gonna help prevent you from slipping.
And a plus side is you can also remove mud from your boots because this serration is so, for lack of a better word, rough, it's really gonna do a good job of getting the bottom surface of your boots or shoes cleaned off. It's really gonna give you a great grip so you can see just how many teeth are there to make sure that you don't easily slip off of this step. So this does have a weight capacity of 500 pounds. And let me go ahead and give you some measurements while we're here. So looking at the overall width, we're sitting pretty close to 13 inches.
And then the overall length it looks like, from back to front, about 10 and a half inches. And then looking at the depth, let me get my ruler out for this, I'm gonna be measuring from the back of the step here to the second hitch pin hole. So let me turn this around this way so you can see the ruler a little bit better. So I'm measuring from the rear most part of our step to the second hitch pin hole. So right at about two and a half inches on center.
Hopefully you can see that. So that's the depth there. This step is made here in the USA of a durable steel construction. Has a powder coat finish on this that I think is gonna do a great job of resisting the elements that it's gonna be constantly exposed to. I do wanna point out that a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock, they are not included with this.
You're simply going to get the step. So if you don't already have something compatible, you would have to pick something up separately. However, I do recommend taking advantage of our hitch lock options here at eetrailer.com, just to secure this to the back of your vehicle and you won't have to worry about somebody coming by and trying to yank this off when your vehicle is unattended. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
