Heavy trailers, campers, and bed loads can make the rear of your truck sag and throw off steering and braking. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep things balanced. Mounted between the frame and rear suspension, they help distribute weight evenly, improve steering control, and maintain level headlight aim so you stay stable even when the truck is working hard.
Load sizes change from day to day, and these air springs adjust right along with them. Each side can be inflated separately using manual valves, letting you fine-tune pressure from 5 psi up to 100 psi to handle off-center or uneven loads. Add air when towing or hauling a heavy payload to level things out, then drop it down when running empty for a smoother, more comfortable ride.
Rough roads and heavy bumps don’t have to mean harsh jolts. The Ride-Rite’s double-convoluted rubber construction with a braided wire girdle cushions contact between the axle and frame to prevent bottoming out. Four layers of reinforced rubber absorb road shock and steady the truck over uneven pavement or washboard surfaces. The design also helps reduce wear on tires and suspension components by keeping everything working within its proper range.
Each kit comes complete with custom brackets, hardware, air line tubing, and separate inflation valves for manual setup. The corrosion-resistant metal end plates are sealed with a rolled crimp that locks the bags firmly in place for long-term durability. Once mounted, no drilling is required—just a solid fit that adds serious rear suspension support without complicating your setup.

Still happy with this install, bags help tremendously over bridge joints hauling my 5th wheel. not sure how these compare to Timbren setup, but i would guess better based on being able to adjust pressure. way more stable over bridges and bends in road.

After 1 year of use, my Firestone airbags never let me down. Working perfectly. This is the 3rd trucks Ive run Firestone 5000 lbs. rated bags on with no issues.

Still working great as it should and doesnt leak air. The remote controller is really convenient and can be operated from inside or outside the truck. Definitely worth all the work. The shield I fabricated for the compressor keeps road grit etc. Out of the air intake of the compressor which should be a huge help for the life of the system. Love it.

I ended up adding an airlift compressor which was super easy to install and everything works great! I got tired of checking pressures, the air compressor monitors psi and kicks on if needed. I would buy and install these things again if I ever end up getting a new truck. Works great when towing my 12,000 pound bumper pull camper

Sorry about that, John. We get our fitment recommendations directly from Firestone for these and the only exception we were aware of was they will not fit 2 wheel drive models (which is what Firestone is still showing on their website). I do also have to point out that two pieces of the braking system are referenced on page 7 of Firestone's instructions for this kit. Is this wat you are referring to? Or is it something else?
