Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Pacbrake Alpha HD rear axle double convoluted airbag suspension kit. Now this kit has been designed to work with your 2010 to 2020 Dodge RAM 4500 and 5500 cab and chassis. Now, when you're hauling equipment, towing a trailer or making deliveries with a loaded flatbed, factory leaf springs can only do so much. These air springs are going to add up to 5,000 pounds of rear axle support, giving your Dodge Ram 4500 or 5500 cab and chassis the muscle that it needs to stay level, controlled, and capable, even when you're maxed out and running long hours. With your rear end held up properly, brakings are gonna stay sharp. Steering is going to remain predictable, and your headlight aim is, your headlights are gonna aim where they're supposed to, not into the trees or up to the sky. So whether you're pulling equipment out of the yard at dawn or rolling home after dark, these airbags are gonna help your truck carry the load with confidence.

Now, as you well know, no two jobs are gonna be the same and neither is every load. That's why these air springs are gonna let you dial in the pressure from five to 100 PSI, depending on your, on what your truck's carrying. So you can fill them up when the trailer's loaded or the service body is packed to the rails and you can let some air out when you're driving as light or empty. These manual inflation valves are gonna make adjustments fast and straightforward, so your suspension's always gonna match the weight on board. What that means for you is a smoother ride for you, for the crew, and more control behind the wheel and less wear and tear on your truck no matter what the day throws your way.

But commercial trucks don't get pampered. They run in the cold, the mud, the salt, and the heat, sometimes all in on week. That's why these air springs are built with 1" thick corrosion resistant end caps. The bags themselves are reinforced with 20 internal support wires and they're protected by these heavy duty roll plates. They handle real world loads.

These also feature these really great powder coated steel brackets that are gonna stand up to rust and grime. So you're gonna be able to keep moving through the worst conditions without worrying about what's happening under the frame. And then this also is going to include all of the hardware that you need to get these secured and mounted into place. Now, I don't have all the hardware laid out here on my table. I just have the bags put together loosely with the brackets and the roll plates. So I thought it'd be better for you just to see a photo of all the hardware that's gonna be included with this kit. So you're basically gonna get everything that you need minus the tools to get this installed into place. Now, these precision laser cut brackets are designed to bolt cleanly to your truck's existing mounting points without welding or drilling to your frame. And what's great about this kit is that it's designed to work with your setup right now and wherever your upgrades may take you down the road. So again, you're gonna be able to inflate manually with the standard air valves right outta the box, no extra parts needed, but maybe you already have an onboard compressor. If so, that's great, because these are gonna connect easily to most existing setups. And then maybe you're planning for something like an in cab wireless controller down the road. That's not gonna be a problem either, because the foundation is already being laid for those future upgrades. So you're gonna be able to easily expand your options when the time comes. Now, as I mentioned, these are gonna give you up to 5,000 pounds of additional load leveling support, but be aware of the fact that these bags don't actually increase your truck's weight carrying capacity. So you do wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
