Features to know about

Stay Level Under Load: 3,000-lb Rear Suspension Support

When the rear sags under heavy weight, you lose stability and steering control. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 3,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity on the rear axle to keep your vehicle level and steady when hauling or towing. The hollow rubber springs get more rigid as weight increases, balancing the load across the axles so your handling, braking, and visibility stay consistent even when the bed or trailer is packed.

Truck with rear end sagging under a heavy load, showing need for Timbren Suspension Enhancement System to level and stabilize vehicle when towing or carrying cargo.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Rubber Springs That Absorb Shock

Bumpy roads and uneven terrain can beat up your factory suspension. These Aeon hollow rubber springs act like extra shock absorbers, taking the brunt of bumps and rough surfaces. They reduce body bounce and bottoming out while helping extend the life of your suspension components. The result is a smoother, more stable ride whether you’re hauling gear or towing down rough highways.

Empty truck driving on bumpy road without Timbren system, illustrating road shock and need for improved suspension absorption.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

When a semi blasts by or a curve pushes you off balance, each Timbren spring works independently to keep its side planted. This design helps reduce body roll and sway when cornering or carrying an off-center load. That means less rocking through turns and better control if wind or uneven pavement tries to throw the truck around.

Towing vehicle with trailer swaying on highway, illustrating how Timbren Suspension Enhancement System helps reduce trailer sway and improve stability.

Install It Once and Get to Work: Simple Bolt-On Setup

No air lines, compressors, or manual adjustments required—just bolt the custom-fit brackets directly onto the frame above the rear axle. The included springs and hardware make setup straightforward with no drilling needed. Once installed, the system automatically engages when weight is added and stays out of the way when unloaded for a smooth everyday ride.

Built to Last: Durable Rubber That Holds Up Over Time

The thick rubber construction resists wear far better than typical factory bump stops. To keep them in top shape for years, just rinse them clean once or twice a year to wash away dirt and road salt. Their durable build means you can count on consistent support trip after trip without worrying about deterioration or leaks.

Video Transcript for Feature Breakdown: Timbren Suspension Enhancement System-T24CR

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at this Timbren suspension enhancement system for your rear axle. Now folks, this specifically is gonna work with the 2022 through 2024 Nissan Frontier. That being said, make sure you check the vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com's website. Top center of the homepage, enter your year, make and model. Make sure you're getting the right parts for your vehicle.

Keep in mind, sometimes videos change and this may fit different years. Now, these will improve your suspension, the overall handling and safety of your vehicle, and they become more rigid as more weight is added to help with the performance when you're hauling those heavy loads. They are gonna increase stability, reduce vehicle sag. They can work independently of each other, so meaning this side here can be compressed down halfway while this side's still up, and maybe it's like an off center load, maybe a camper in the back of the truck, salt spreader, anything like that. Maybe they do also help reduce body roll when you're swerving or turning corners tight, that kind of thing.

They also act as a nice shock absorber, so whenever you're going over bumps, rough roads, those kind of things, potholes, and in turn, they're gonna actually extend the life of your vehicle suspension by taking the brunt of those bumps and rough roads and stuff. Now you're gonna get two bolts here. Those will come from the bottom up and these two plates here, I've got 'em loosely fitting, and you get the two Aeon Hollow Rubber springs. These are a nice heavy duty Aeon rubber, and they're very nice. There is a washer inside of each one of these.

Again, this would go like this. The bolt will come up through the bottom and these plates would go on top, and that bolt is gonna bolt directly into the frame. There's no drilling whatsoever required. It's a very, very truly simple installation. Folks, these do have a nice lifetime warranty.

It's very impressive. You should never have to buy another set again, and they have a capacity rate of 3000 pounds total. So keep in mind, that's just a enhancement. So meaning you're not gonna add 3000 pounds towing capacity to your vehicle. That's just not how it works. These just help assist with up to 3000 pounds of that weight that you're already towing. Well folks, thanks so much for joining while we look at this Timbren Suspension enhancement system for your rear axle on your Nissan Frontier. I'm Steven. Have a great day.

I took them off. I didnt like them. They made the unloaded ride too harsh.

by:

Awesome service and fast delivery

by:

Great customer service. The only issue I had was due to my own ignorance. Lift from the frame to relieve any tension on the axels so you can get them correctly. I was able to speak directly to Joshua and the team in Canada, both professional and courteous.

by:

Fast service. Mailed to me the same day I made the order.

Have has Timbren on multiple trucks in the past. It is a must for me. Limits sag when my truck is loaded.

by:

Works great.

by:

It was a perfect fit ! I took the OEM ones off and screwed these on ! Probably 15-20 minutes !

by:

Delivered without all needed parts.
Delivery
of missing part was troublesome.

Question, was this a return? Very dirty and some rust all ready on the washers. They look like they will work OK. I know that they will get a lot of road dirt being they will be under the truck and over the springs. I wondered because they came in an etrailer carton and not in a manufacturer's carton.

Well we have the good and the bad, as usual. The good is the wiggle and pressure sway from trucks, busses and other RV's.The bad is as expected,a real loss of the softer suspension that really didn't change without the travel trailer.Although reduced, the wiggle ?sway is still there to a point and now I question the Michelin tires.I have always wanted to try Michelin tires and was one reason for buying the Frontier, but I fear 35psi tires are just a little to soft for the job.So I have to decide whether to keep these tires or move to higher pressure tires for the time we haul the RV.If anyone has any alternate solution please feel free to speak up...

Easy install rides great with truck camper installed

by:

Very quick and easy install. Ride unloaded still
Very pleasant. Haven’t towed my boat yet with this weather we are having. Hope it handles the squat better. Great product!

by:

Finally got them installed and hooked up the trailer. The ride has improved with a load and my daily hasn’t changed a bit. Would recommend it and would buy it again.

A Must-Have Upgrade for Any Load-Hauling Frontier

Item: Timbren SES (Suspension Enhancement System) - Rear Kit Vehicle:2022 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X

I installed the Timbren SES kit on the rear of my 2022 Frontier PRO-4X, and it has completely transformed the truck when carrying a load. I can't recommend this product enough.

Before the Timbrens, my truck would sag noticeably anytime I loaded up with camping gear, a full bed of construction materials, or hooked up my trailer. It gave that uncomfortable, "squatting" look and made the steering feel loose and vague.

The two biggest benefits I've experienced are:

1. Eliminated Sag: The Timbrens completely prevent the rear from squatting under heavy loads. The truck now sits perfectly level, which is not only better for aesthetics but crucial for maintaining proper headlight alignment and overall vehicle balance.
2. Enhanced Handling & Stability: This was the most surprising and welcome improvement. The truck no longer feels wallowy or unstable on the highway when loaded. It handles bumps, curves, and wind gusts with so much more confidence. The ride is firm and controlled, not harsh or bouncy. It feels like how the truck should have come from the factory for someone who uses it as a truck.

Installation was straightforward. It's a simple bolt-on replacement for the factory bump stops. No drilling, cutting, or complex spring compression is needed. I had it done in my driveway in under an hour.

Final Verdict: If you regularly carry heavy loads, tow, or even just want a more planted and stable ride from your Nissan Frontier, stop looking at expensive, complicated suspension overhauls. The Timbren SES is an incredibly effective, simple, and affordable solution. It does exactly what it promises and does it brilliantly.

Highly recommended!

Perfect fit for my 2023 Nissan Frontier. I have a 3" & 6" extension for my ratchet. 6" is way too long. 3" is almost too short. A 4" extension would have worked better.

  • Can I Use Timbrens In Conjunction With Fastway Weight Distribution System
Hey Albert, thanks for reaching out. I see you already have an order in for the Timbrens, but I still wanted to reply to your question. Yes, you can use Timbrens, or other similar suspension enhancement products in conjunction with a weight destruction system. It is actually pretty common for folks to do this since each product provides its own unique benefits. The Timbrens will help reduce sagging which will in turn improve stability, handling and braking. Will definitely help reduce...

  • Difference Between Timbren SES T24CR and TTORTUN4L for 2024 Nissan Frontier S 4X4
Hey Joseph! I can see why this would be confusing and we don't really call out the difference on our site. The Timbren SES # T24CR fits if your 2024 Frontier has a frame mounted bumpstop. The # TTORTUN4L has the extra bracket and is designed to replace a U-bolt clamped bumpstop. See the attached pictures. You will need to check your configuration to see which one is right for your Frontier. Are you adding these for towing or something else?

  • Suggestion On How To Help Extend The Lift Of Timbren Rubber Springs
Hello James, great question. The Timbren bump stops are known for being super durable. We do not hear any complaints of the material deteriorating over time. A lot of times you will see factory bump stops that start to degrade over time, but the Timbrens are much more durable, and this is not a common issue at all. That being said, the best thing you can do to prolong the life will be to clean them periodically. Debris and dirt from the road can speed up corrosion. Road salt is also not...
