Can SumoSprings Kit be Used with 2021 Ford Ranger with Weight Distribution System
Published 03/14/2023 >
Question:
I have a Blue Ox Sway Pro WDH. With the trailer connected, my 2021 Ford Ranger sits fairly level, but I get a lot of porpoising. I’m hoping to install these blue sumosprings on the Ranger to even out the ride a bit, but will I need to adjust the WDH? Lengthen or shorten the attachment point of the chain? Thanks for any advice you have.

Suspension enhancement like the SumoSprings Kit part # SS76MR that fits your 2021 Ford Ranger will help with the porpoising that you are experiencing when towing. You will end up needing to use slightly less spring bar tension to compensate for fact you now basically have stiffer suspension. So that would mean lengthening the chains. We can't say by how much you'd lengthen it though.
