Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Pacbrake Alpha HD Rear Axle Double Convoluted Airbag Suspension Kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2012 and newer Ford F-450, F-550, and F-600 commercial cabin chassis, both the two-wheel and four-wheel drive models. Now, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com, insert the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So as you know, when the load gets heavy, your truck is going to need more than just those factory rear springs hanging on for dear life.
These airbags are going to give you up to 5,000 pounds of rear axle support, keeping your truck level and steady even when the trailer is loaded, the bed is packed, and the miles are long, so no more rear-end sag is going to be throwing you off, throwing off your braking or steering or headlights pointing into the sky. Now, as you no doubt know, every haul is going to be different. That's why these air springs give you full control over the ride height and the firmness, with adjustable air pressure from five to 100 PSI. If you're hauling a fifth wheel or a full bed of gravel, you're just gonna crank up the pressure and then when you unload it and you're heading home, all you gotta do is drop that pressure back down for a softer ride. With the manual inflation valves included and air line, tuning your suspension for the day's work is gonna be very easy, very straightforward.
Now, extreme hauling demands extreme durability, and these springs are built with one-inch thick, corrosion-resistant end caps, which you can't see because of these roll plates. I do, as you see here, have 'em kind of loosely put together to kind of give you an idea of how these are gonna be put together when you install them. But the end caps are going to be corrosion resistant. And then these bags are reinforced with 20 internal support wires, giving you maximum strength under that load. And then we have these heavy-duty roll plates here on either end and they're going to protect the bags from chafing and they're gonna help extend the lifespan of the bags.
And then our custom-fit, powder-coated steel brackets are gonna fight back against rust, corrosion, road salt, and everything that's gonna be exposed to. If it's bitter cold, scorching heat, or mud slick job sites, this system is built and made to outlast whatever the road dishes out on them, mile after mile and load after load. Now, back to these brackets here, these are precision laser-cut brackets and these are designed to bolt cleanly to your truck's existing mounting points without welding or drilling to your frame. And just as a side note, I'm very impressed with the overall quality that Pacbrake is providing here. These brackets are are not only, as I mentioned, precision cut, but the powder coating on here is very premium, in my opinion.
I've dealt with other manufacturers' airbag kits before and while they have their strong points, just the premium feel of the materials used with the bags and the hardware here, in my opinion, are exceptional from Pacbrake here. So if you're looking for a premium option with an airbag kit, this is definitely going to be the way to go. Now, you're gonna be able to, as I mentioned, inflate manually, and you're gonna be able to do that with the standard air valves right out of the box, no extra parts needed. And then if you already have an onboard compressor, these are going to easily connect to most existing setups. And then if you're planning for an in-cab wireless controller down the road, that's not gonna be an issue because with this kit, you're laying down the foundation for that. So it's gonna be very easy to expand your control options when you're ready. So again, this has a load support up to 5,000 pounds, and I do wanna point out though that these air springs do not actually increase your truck's weight carrying capacity. So because of that, you do not wanna exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. This does include everything that you see here. You're gonna get the hardware, the U-bolts, additional brackets, and air line, everything that you need to get this installed into place.
