When you’re pushing a heavy front-mounted load like a plow or large grille, the front of your vehicle can sag and throw off your steering, braking, and headlight aim. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep things even. Installed between the frame and front suspension, they reduce strain on your axle and help maintain even weight distribution for better control and smoother handling.

Every load is different, so these air springs adjust to match. You can fine-tune air pressure anywhere between 5 psi and 100 psi using the included manual inflation valves. Add pressure to level off-center loads or run lighter when you’re unloaded for a softer ride. With the right balance of air in each side, you can improve stability and cut down on body roll while keeping steering and braking predictable.

Uneven pavement and road shock don’t just make for an uncomfortable drive—they wear out your suspension. Firestone’s double-convoluted design uses four layers of reinforced rubber with a braided wire girdle to absorb bumps and help prevent bottoming out. The springs cushion the space between your axle and frame so contact stays soft and controlled, protecting suspension components from excessive friction and sag over time.
Each Ride-Rite kit includes heavy-duty brackets, hardware, air line tubing, and individual valves for manual inflation. The rubber air springs are secured with corrosion-resistant metal end plates and rolled crimp seals that keep everything anchored tight under pressure. With proper setup, you get consistent load support that holds up to long-term use without leaks or performance loss.

When your front suspension stays level, steering stays sharp and tire contact stays solid—even under heavy or uneven loads. These air springs help reduce dive under braking, keep headlights properly aimed at night, and maintain a stable stance whether you’re loaded or not. It’s a simple upgrade that brings back comfort, control, and confidence every time you hit the road.

On time and exactly what I expected
Very happy! They do the trick :-)
Install was straight forward and made a major difference in ride Quality putting bags on front and rear
The product was outstanding and did what I ordered it for. One of the air values was missing the value stem and the hose being in box so long made it a little difficult to route. All that being said am very pleased with the product.
Great business
Great product on my 38 foot class a stabilizes the ride
Delivered, going to install on the class A motorhome this weekend, will update later
I really do think they’ve helped the ride especially in windy conditions.
However, after checking for leaks at connections etc. I find that I have to “air up” the air bags before I leave on a trip.
I'm very impressed with this product. It greatly improved the ride of my motorhome(2008 fleetwood Terra). It took me 2 and 1/2 hours to install after assembly. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SHARP DRILL BITS..I definitely recommend this product if it fits your application.

Worked great
One of two elbow fittings was smaller so I had to go and buy a nipple to install it makingbit a bit taller, so I had to just reverse the install, photos added
Excellent fast free delivery, good instructions, 11/2-2 hrs installation time, not too difficult. I put 80lbs psi both sides and now going over a rough road at 55 mph instead of banging hard It bounces. Hopefully l can change the air pressure and find the sweet spot.
1st photo wheel off the ground, 2nd photo wheel on the ground. I installed Summo springs 4 yrs ago and they were totally flat,so not much help. As you can see in the 2nd photo the Summon spring has lifted up an inch, so some improvement there.
After installing Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Spring-Double Convoluted- Front Axle my 35’ RV rides and much better.

Yeah, that does sound like some sort of leak. Have you tried putting some soapy water on the bags to see where the leak could be? I would love to help you not have to keep airing them up; but I need to know this information in order to determine if they are needing replacement or if you are overloading them.
