Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the Firestone RED Label double convoluted air spring. It goes by the model number of 267C 1.6. Now, this is specifically designed for heavy duty custom applications. This is a premium double convoluted air helper spring.

Offers maximum load support, has a load rating of 3,750 pounds per spring. So, when this is used with a second spring, would give you a combined load rating of 7,500 pounds. This spring does provide cushioning between the opposing components and it'll operate at more than 150 psi. The durable spring is constructed from a proprietary ultra high strength cord. It provides excellent flexibility and durability and it'll boast twice the tensile strength of a standard Firestone cord.

So, it includes more than an eighth mile of cord in every spring. The very center here, it's a braided wire girdle hoop, which creates the convoluted shape. It is stronger than your standard Firestone girdle hoops, it increases the burst pressure of the air spring to 400 pounds. They do use the silver, environmentally friendly metal coating on the plates right here, super resistant to corrosion. At the very top you'll see it has the machine welded half inch diameter NPT air intake hole.

And they do use a crimped seal, that keeps the rubber air bag secured to both end plates. A few specs on this, the compressed height is 2.8 inches. Extended height is 8.3 inches. The normal ride height ranges from 5.5 inches to 6.5 inches and the maximum diameter is 6.6 inches. But that should do it for the review on the Firestone RED Label double convoluted air spring.
