Question:

I have a 2015/16 thor Motorhome. I’m looking at adding air bags. I’m going to do front axles. Should I do rear axles too. I see y’all don’t have a video for rear axles for a Motorhome. Any help with this thanks

Hey James, thanks for reaching out!

The Front # AL88240 and Rear # AL57344 air spring kits for a 2015 Ford F-53 chassis will install in a similar fashion but we don't have any videos for the rear air bag kit like you mentioned. If I was in your case I would definitely install the rear bags as well. We actually recommend adding suspension enhancements to the rear axles before adding stuff to the front axles as you'll see a bigger improvement in performance. You can add them to both, but if you're only adding one I recommend the rear set.

@JamesS The pros of air bags is that you typically get higher weight ratings and you're able to fine-tune how much help they are actually providing, while the cons are that if something were to puncture an air bag (this doesn't happen often) then you completely lose the air bag function, plus you need to maintain the air bags and routinely check for any air leaks. SumoSprings on the other have are a "set it and forget it" type of installation and pointy objects can pierce them without affecting performance, however there is zero adjustability so you get what you get and that's it.
