Features to know about

Stay Level and Stable Under Heavy Loads: Up to 5,000 lbs of Rear Suspension Support

When the weight piles on, stock suspension can sag and throw off your handling. The LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your ride height and stance consistent. By distributing weight evenly across all four wheels, they reduce strain on your factory suspension and help maintain steady steering, braking, and headlight aim. Whether you’re towing, hauling, or carrying a full bed load, these springs keep everything level and predictable.

Fine-Tune Ride Comfort: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi

No two loads are the same, so it helps to adjust for each one. The LoadLifter 5000 lets you set air pressure anywhere from 5 to 100 psi for the exact support you need. Inflate both springs equally for front-to-rear leveling or adjust them independently for side-to-side balance when loads aren’t centered. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included, and a compressor system with in-cab gauges can be added later for even easier control.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Roll Plates and Reinforced Construction

Heavy loads can make every bump feel worse. These air springs are built with 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber that absorbs road shock and reduces sway so the ride feels smoother and more controlled. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect the bags from abrasion and increase their load capacity by up to 10%. The result is better stability and less bounce whether you’re running empty or packed down with gear.

Count on Durable, Long-Term Support: Zytel Nylon Endcaps and Quality Hardware

Air springs only work as long as they hold air, so durability matters. The LoadLifter 5000 uses high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter than steel yet resist corrosion that can cause leaks over time. The included mounting brackets and hardware make installation solid and secure, while protecting the springs from damage so they last the life of your suspension setup.

Keep Things Simple for DIY Installation

Adding serious load support doesn’t need to be complicated. This kit comes with everything you need—mounting brackets, hardware, air lines, and manual valves—and bolts up cleanly to your rear axle without major modifications. Once installed, just set your air pressure through the easy-access valves on your bumper and hit the road knowing your suspension is ready for whatever you’re hauling next.

The installation was time consuming, but the results are well worth the effort. 30 psig work for my trailer application. Plenty of reserve capacity available.

Eliminated the squat factor and provides stability when towing. I had a local tire and suspension shop install them and I’m glad I did. It’s not as easy as it looks. If I had to do it again I would add the compressor and controls. My manual inflation version works as it’s a set it forget it type when you have the same trailer coupled but it requires bringing a compressor along for the ride if want to alter the settings in your journey.

Im very impressed with these airbags. So far they are doing the job.
These come with all hardware and instructions. I put 20 psi with no load to see how long the air would hold up. 2 weeks later im now at 15 psi which I'm satisfied.
The previous bags of another brand didnt hold air well even with no leaks.
I can tell the difference in ride quality. I've loaded the bed with landscaping materials and towed my boat with 15 psi and still holding strong. Looking forward to towing my Travel Trailer.
Customer service has also been great!

@BrookeM Hi Brooke. I finally had the opportunity to tow my travel trailer. Very impressed with the stability and reliability these airbags have performed. I put 40 psi in the airbags using my weight distribution hitch , and it worked well. During my trip a support bar fell off while on the road without me knowing. That told me right there how much support and strong the bags are. Coming back from my trip I had no support bars and put more air (50) PSI. The support bags held up well. I can feel the difference between not having the support bars versus having them. My truck was a little bouncy on wavy roads but not bad enough to have a negative impact on the airbag support If it wasn't for the strength and support from the airbags i wouldn't be confident enough to tow without the support bars When not towing i leave 10-15 psi in the bags. It's amazing how long the air holds up to 3 weeks or so without adding air. Very happy with my purchase

Things are working well so far. I tow and haul during the spring, summer and fall. The most air I put in the bags was 50 PSI. The air still holds pretty good towing.Time will tell if the bags hold up as the bags age.

These were a great addition to my truck. I moved from Washington to Michigan 1 year ago. Heavily loaded trailer and truck. No sag, no issues. Full disclosure I had to get some custom U bolts made because of my setup, but I have had zero issues. Great buy.

I plumbed my airlines through the license plate which turned out to be very handy.

Watched the install video twice before the shipment got here and had no problems installing it. Also installed the WirelessOne from Airlift at the same time. Picked up some 1/4" clamps to make the air lines look a little cleaner, and hold them in place during our snowy and icy winters. Including the WirelessOne system, it took about 8 hours from the time I washed the underside of the truck until I rolled it back out from the garage. Pulled the camper this morning and all my old issues have disappeared. Truck is level, trailer pulls great, and the cooling system is back to working as needed. Highly recommend this suspension kit!

I didn’t do the install myself. However my mechanic talked me into these after adding a rack and rooftop tent to my ‘14 Tacoma. Absolutely Fantastic. I have a 3” suspension lift and the truck handles as near to stock as I can remember. Awesome product. Easy install (according to mechanic). Thanks all. Oh yes, one issue because I added a leaf spring when I lifted it. He had to find new shackles to allow for fit. FYI

Not quite Overland, definitely camping, hunting fishing. Its my “bugout” vehicle whenever need be. Moving back home to Central NY from MA soon and hoping to spend most spring/summer camping for sure. Love these springs! Seriously has not driven this well since stock. With the rack and rtt on top its an added (roughly) 500lbs and a bit top heavy. Not any more! Thanks all

a very good choice. The F150 did not have enough stock suspension for my 24 foot trailer with a GVER 10,000lb. Now we all know the truck will pull that weight but when you hooked up it squatted. After installing the air lift it does not squat any more and the truck with a 5.0 has enough power to pull the weight. I had Monroe air shocks on it before but they would not do the job. I am very happy with the setup. I replaced the Monroe air shocks with Rancho shock's and the ride is amazing with or with out the trailer. This was a great investment for the long haul.

The Air Lift is working GREAT a year later. We just hauled a Generac 705 miles up north and brought a load of big rocks back for a guy that wanted to build a waterfall for his coy fish and the Air lift system was able to handle the weight just fine and rode great. Every one comments about how smooth the truck rides. The Air Lift system has handled everything we have asked it it to and has been trouble free. These will go on every truck I won in the future.

by:
Installed yesterday and tried them out with the fifth wheel loaded. Leveled my truck out in seconds with a compressor. The installation video on the same page as the product was extremely easy to follow. Also, Joy was awesome with helping me select what I needed over the phone. Very happy with this.
by:
The airbags did their job! I’ve got a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and I’m really happy with the results so far. I only had to put in about 10 psi, and that was more than enough to handle the weight of the dump trailer. The install was a bit tedious and took around 3 hours total. The left side definitely took longer than the right.

Besides the time it took, I am glad you were able to get these installed and notice a difference right away! They look nice installed. Are you towing anything other than your dump trailer?

by:
I had the airbags installed at my local auto shop. It took them 4 1/2 hours to install them. The kit I purchased didn't include a heatshield to protect the airbag from the exhaust pipe so I had to contact Airlift to get one sent to me. It's been 12 days since contacting them and haven't received the part yet.

2026 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Install on a 2026 F350 SRW. Love the product and have zero issues with that itself. The reason for the 4 star is the clearance with the factory sway bar and brake lines. It does mention that in the instructions, however it's extremely tight and I'll definitely be checked for rubbing in the future to make sure I don't have clearance issues. Otherwise, they work great paired with the Airlift WirelessAIR compressory system, zero complaints on the usability of the product.

Quick and easy install for anyone that can use a wrench. Bags help a ton with eliminating squat on the truck. If pulling trailers is in your daily routine then they are a must. Pull the trigger and order ya some. You won’t regret it and it’s the best bang for your buck

Dodge Ram Pickup
I just completed the install of this Airlifter 5000 series air bag kit. First, the kit, without a doubt, is a high quality kit with many of it's components designed specifically for specific vehicle application. I installed it under the rear of our new-to-us 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie 4x4 Ecodiesel. I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice and robust powder coating of the metal mounting plates. That means protection for them for a long, long time. The hardware/fastners were/are of decent quality also. And, while the "springs" used for the temporary carriage bolt retention in part of the install are a good idea, I have maybe a better way of doing that. In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, here's a suggestion.
Since there are TWO of those carriage bolts that have to be installed AT ONE TIME, you now have to deal with those two long tailed springs, carriage bolts that continue to fall backwards into the abyss of the frame, all the while trying to maneuver the frame mount plate into position. Then, trying to retain tension on the tails of those springs that retain the carriage bolts, and align the bolt tips to enter the mount plate, and then, if and or when you get the mount plate into position and both bolt tips are protruding through it, you now have to hold ALL of that in place, while you remove at least one spring so that you can now grab a nut (a feat unto itself) and fit it onto the tip of one bolt, all the while trying to hold tension on that bolt so it won't fall backwards into the frame and start threading it.
Then, once it's threads are started, you can no concentrate on the same operation for the second bolt. What a serious pain in the petute!

But instead of the springs and tails to be used to retain the bolts while prepping to install the mount plate, you use whatever their called, a very, very thin retainer clip or washer or "push clip" (I really don't know the name of them) that are used to retain the drums onto hubs on an axle, ALL THOSE PROBLEMS would be over.

You'd simply use the springs as before to load and pull the bolts through their respective holes as before. Now, with the one bolt in place, reach through the center hole in the frame that's between the two bolt holes and using a finger, push on the head of that installed bolt. Your finger will now hold the bolt in place. Now, with that bolt held in place, you can remove the spring. Then, PUSH the very thing spring clip right over the threads of the bolt and it will "ratchet" down the threads until it bottoms out against the frame. You have now LOCKED that bolt in place and you can let got of it with your finger and that bolt isn't going anywhere!!!!!!!!

Now, do the same for the second bolt. Now, both bolts are held firm in place WITHOUT the long and cumbersome tails of the springs. You can now grab the mount plate and push it up into place and over both exposed sets of threads at the same time WITHOUT FEAR of pushing the bolts back into the frame. You can now hold that mount plate in place while you grab one nut at a time and thread it all the way on. Then do the same for the other nut.

To me, this would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than the method you (and I, and any installer, be it a shop or a home install) are presently using. If I had a link to what kind of clip I'm talking about, I'd link it.

But, those clips are seriously thin yet are quite capable of retaining those bolts and will not hinder the mate-up of the mount plate to the frame sides. Sure seems worth a looking into to me. Just a suggestion.

2021 Ford F-350 Super Duty
I load my F350 just under its legal limit of payload with my 5th wheel. I had initially relied on overload bump stops to prevent sag, but the ride was far too uncontrolled for my liking. I have used Airlift bags in the past on a previous vehicle and loved them. I bit the bullet and installed them on my F350 SRW and could not be happier with the ride quality and control they provide. Instead of bouncing and bucking us out of the seat while destroying steering authority on the HWY, now I have control of my payload and a stock ride when I am unloaded. I should have gone with the bags to start and I cannot recommend them enough for all the 5th wheelers out there or anyone else who tows heavily on a regular basis. The kit supplied everything needed, although I added a simple piece of bar stock to mount the schrader valves. Very clear instructions that were easy to follow.

I can’t believe how much putting these rear springs on my 2021 Jayco Alante Class A has helped the whole suspension and ride.
We took the RV all the way to Alaska through AB, BC, and Yukon Canada. I started with low pressure at 60 psi to see how it performed but ended up having the air set at 80 psi. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with a Ford F-53 suspension who struggles with the ride and comfort.
by:
2024 Toyota RAV4
Installed on 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I previously installed an add-a-leaf kit on the truck thinking it would 1. Lift the suspension to match the Bilstein 5100’s in the front and 2. Increase load / decrease sagging under load. While the add-a-leaf did raise the rear of the truck nicely, as I began to add tools (weight) it still sagged. The Load Lifter 5000 took care of this problem. Now I load the truck (or hook up a trailer) and simply add air pressure to the helper springs to bring the truck up level. I chose not to install the on-board air compressor. Instead I carry a portable, hand held compressor in the truck. I dial up the pressure I want and hit “go” and this seems to work well for me as I rarely need to change the pressure anyway. Nice to know when you empty out the truck you can reduce the pressure and go back to a softer ride. Also, I off-road some and was concerned about exceeding the travel of the helper springs and possibly causing damage so I also installed the kit that allows you to disconnect the helper springs from the rear axle and allow it to rest in a cradle. When full leaf extension occurs the helper springs raise out of the cradle and return there again when the leaf returns to normal position. This keeps any damage to the helper springs from occurring due to over extension.

After a year of use I can safely recommend this product!

Good question as there are specific air bags needed to fit your 2022 Ford F-150 with the PowerBoost engine (please note that there are no air bags that fit if you have the optional Continuously Controlled Damping). The best option for air bags that fit your '22 F-150 with the PowerBoost engine are the following: - Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL82WQ I verified with Air Lift the # AL82WQ are a fit for your '22 F-150 with the PowerBoost engine (both 2WD and 4WD models),...

  • Comparing Timbrens and Air Lift Air Bags for a 2021 Ford F-150
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL82WQ are a much better option for a 2021 Ford F-150 than the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TFR1504E because they can be adjusted to your exact load for the best mix between support and comfort. The only thing you may be able to do, since you mentioned being just a little over the...

  • Recommended Air Bag Kit For 2022 Ford F-150 Powerboost with B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch
For your 2022 Ford F-150 with a 6-1/2' Bed and the Powerboost Hybrid engine I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL82WQ. These are a custom fit and will fit around the mounting brackets for your B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch. This option will give you 5,000lbs of support to your rear suspension, but keep in mind this will not increase the factory capacities of your truck. To make adjusting the air pressure way easier I recommend going ahead and installing an air compressor kit...
