Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: Up to 1,000 lbs of Rear Suspension Support

A heavy trailer or load can drop the rear end and throw off how your vehicle drives. The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs add up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling support inside your existing rear coil springs. They keep your ride level under weight so steering, braking, and handling stay predictable. With the suspension working in its normal range, you maintain even tire wear and correct headlight aim for safer driving.

Dial In Your Ride Height: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 psi to 35 psi

Every haul is different, and this setup lets you match your suspension to it. The air springs can be inflated or deflated anywhere between 5 and 35 psi for just the right level of support. Running heavy? Add air to keep things level. Driving empty? Drop to minimum pressure for a smoother ride. You can inflate each spring independently using the included manual Schrader valves to balance off-center loads when cargo or trailers aren’t evenly distributed.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Molded Polyurethane Air Springs That Absorb Shock

Bumps, sway, and road shock are no match for these tough molded polyurethane air springs. They sit inside the factory coils to help absorb vibration and movement that would otherwise transfer through the chassis. The result is steadier control on uneven pavement, less bounce after big dips, and a more planted feel whether towing or carrying gear.

Install with Basic Tools: Straightforward DIY Setup

Adding better suspension doesn’t have to be complicated. The Air Lift 1000 kit installs inside your rear coil springs using standard tools and includes clear instructions, two air springs, heat shields, tubing, Schrader valves, and hardware. Each spring mounts through an accessible inflation point—typically on the bumper—so adjusting pressure before a haul is quick and simple. For added convenience later on, a compressor system can be added (sold separately) if you want to monitor and adjust pressure from the driver’s seat.

I knew going into this, this was going to be a pain to install. After 5 hours, I had to call a friend who was a mechanic to come over and help get the bags into the springs. We finally read enough reviews where people said to heat up the bags a little, fold them and zip tie them. This worked! But.....Here we are, they've been installed, traveled over 2000 miles with them in and let me tell you, the noise! OMG THE NOISE! Every bump, dip, hell - I think just for the fun of it - my car squeaks like a 1970's Cadi! I've used multiple Teflon lubricants, Bearings Grease and other various lubricants. NO, I didn't use WD40. You can hear me coming down the road the noise is that loud. I called Airlift as instructed and they advised me that they're not even showing that these are a match for my car although Etrailer does. The tech that I spoke to told me that if I've driven that much, with and without loads, adjusted the PSI (which I have. I've gone from 5-35psi as instructed. No matter where I am sitting, it is loud! For someone who is tone sensitive with high PTSD and ADHD/OCD - this is not working. Airlift said that there's a 60 day ride approval. I don't approve as I've gotten to the point that I don't even want to drive my 2025 car! Instead, I've been driving a 2005 van if I need to go to the store or anything. I've truly tried to let these be the savior of my needs, but I think I'm going to just bite the bullet and get a Gladiator or Ram.

Works great on my 2000 Lexus LX470. I installed these to supplement my AHC deleted suspension. These were installed with Land Cruiser rear springs. Instructions were easy to follow. Routed separate air lines (did not use the y connector) above the frame and fitted the valves into existing holes on the bumper. Run them at 8-10 psi when I have gear in cargo area. Holds air perfectly.

I purchased this product for some additional support for our Hummer H2 when we are towing our travel trailer. I removed the springs for easier installation of each bag.
I am 66 years old and total time from start to completion was 3 1/2 hours from set up to clean up !

These air springs are one of the best investments you can make if you have a 4XE Wrangler. The battery pack is so heavy, I am finding after a couple of years the factory springs are getting too spongy and the body lean is more noticeable on the road especially cornering. Plus when you go over larger bumps the body sway is much more noticeable. I looked into an air spring set up but did not really want to spend several thousand dollars and I was surprised when I came across this set for under $[XX]. I was sceptical but thought, why not. They arrived in a small box and I was even more doubtful but when I opened it and took out the kit, I was impressed with the quality of the materials. I followed the instructions (with a few exceptions) and found them to be very easy to install. If you take your time with routing the air lines over the factory heat shields and carefully bring them to the rear drivers side, you can install them using the t connector. You can drill a hole through the thin part of the bumper right beside the license plate. There is just enough air line included to do this. The Schrader valve seats perfectly and makes it very convenient to add or bleed air from the system with only one adjustment. I set the springs at 12 psi and coupled with my after market adjustable shocks, I can make my Wrangler so smooth it feels more like a European SUV than a Jeep. Excellent product.

Put these on my 2020 Equinox, it has a tow package and pulls my little Wildwood trailer just fine but with this airliift system it feels SOOOO much more stable!! It drives much less ‘mushy’ and handling is a dream. These are simple to install, perfect product for pulling with a light duty SUV, I am extremely impressed.

Haven't installed it yet but the product looks well built and the instructions apply to the vehicle I'll install it into.

Haven't installed yet

I believe the air bags are a good product. They were a bit challenging to get in the grandcherokee but it's done and they work well

by:

Genius affordable solution for anyone not looking to replace an entire suspension system. Works just as advertised. One year in and mine are still going strong.

by:

Great installation instructions, stiffens the suspension like I needed. Yet to see the performance with a trailer. Very happy

by:

Due to a damaged box, a part was missing from a hitch system that I ordered.
One call to etrailer, a pleasant conversation with Brandy, and the part is delivered on Thursday!!!

I’m a customer for life!!!

Very Happy with my Air Lift 1000 that I installed on my 2010 Toyota Prius level ride with a full car and luggage and comfort

by:

Product works great. It is a bit of a challenge to install the bags into the springs and get the lines hooked up. Once they were in it made a huge difference towing. The SUV used to bounce a bit in the rear with a trailer but with the bags no more bouncing at all. Didn't notice any difference in ride quality with bags inflated while not towing.

The Air Lift 1000 system is not fully installed yet after 4 and 1/2 hours of effort. I have a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The instructive videos from etailer were very useful and an improvement over the written techniques from Air Lift. I was able to get the air bags within the springs via the folded hot dog bun technique (i.e., folded length wise and using a temporary zip ties). Unfortunately, the bags did not reinflate after the zip ties and sealing cap was removed. I am, therefore, unable to get the tubing onto each bag's nipple. I tried calling Air Lift to discuss but they didn't pick up the phone. All other tubing and the inflating valve were successfully installed. I plan to bring the vehicle to a local tire shop to see if they can do this last connection to the air bags, and then try inflating. :(

As long as the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee is not lifted or lowered then this spring kit is the right kit. The manufacturer will be reaching out to assist you.

by:

The product works but the accessories with it not so much they should have a better system like a push in system at the bag for the air line. The T was plastic and extremely hard to get the air line one it the rest was good.

  • Does 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Need Weight Distribution to Tow 5,000 lb Trailer
The great news is that the trailer weight and tongue weight of the trailer you mentioned are below the capacities of your vehicle so you are safe to tow the trailer without a weight distribution system. The other news worth mentioning is that your vehicle is not rated for use with a weight distribution system so that's not an option we can recommend. But if you wanted to add additional rear suspension support when towing so that the vehicle sits leve what you would need is suspension enhancement...

  • How Does Air Lift Kit Install on 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I looked up the install instructions from Air Lift for the # AL60825 (included with the kit) and they recommend deflating the air bag totally and putting the cap back on it and then inserting it through the lowest opening of the spring. They do not recommend removing the spring to do this.

  • How to Reduce Rear Suspension Sag of 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Quadralift Rear Suspension
For your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Quadralift suspension I have a solution that will help with rear suspension sag similar to air bags if you plan on towing a trailer but none of the air bag kits we offer are a fit for the models with the Quadralift suspension. So instead your best option is a weight distribution system. These kits reduce the rear sag like an air bag kit but what makes them superior to air bags is that they also improve handling and braking due to redistributing some...

  • Recommended Air Suspension Kit For 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
We recommend a weight distribution system when a loaded trailer weighs more than half the weight of the towing vehicle. The weights you mentioned are right at that 50 percent so you may find you can tow the trailer with the bike loaded with no system.
