The Yakima BaseLine FX keeps things clean and low-profile with its flush design—no awkward bar ends sticking out. The integrated crossbar and tower system sits tight to the roofline, giving it that streamlined, from-the-factory look. The black aluminum build adds a solid, modern touch while keeping weight down for everyday use.
Nothing ruins a long drive faster than loud wind noise. These aero-style crossbars help minimize that by shaping airflow more smoothly over the top of your vehicle. The push-down rubber strips fill the top channels to cut down vibration and whistling while also sealing out the elements. The result is a quieter, more relaxed ride whether you’re cruising the highway or heading into the backcountry.
This rack is ready for all kinds of adventures. It’s compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers—perfect for hauling kayaks, skis, cargo boxes, or bikes without swapping setups. The crossbars accept both channel-mount and clamp-on attachments, so you can use gear you already have or mix in new accessories when your plans change.
Made from durable aluminum, these crossbars are built to carry gear with confidence. With a 165-lb weight capacity (always follow your vehicle’s roof load limit), they can manage heavy cargo like camping gear or watercraft. The limited lifetime warranty backs up that durability for long-term reliability.
When you want to deter theft, this setup works with Yakima’s Same Key System lock cores (sold separately). Add locks for both the rack and channel-mount accessories so everything stays put when you park at a trailhead or campsite overnight.

I was converting a roof rack from my Jeep Cherokee (factory rails) to my RAM 2500 truck (naked roof). While I could use my old Jetstream crossbars, I needed new towers and clips for the truck. There was an error in my original order, the representative thought she was sending me two pairs of clips. I understand the mixup because the Clip box said two meaning 2 clips rather than two pair. etrailer sent another pair immediately and waived the shipping. I like customer service is available and knowledgable. I would give them a five if they hadn't mixed up the first order.
I was in dire need of finding a cross bar system to mount a 18cu foot Yakima cargo carrier for an upcoming camping trip and etrailer did me an enormous favor by using there website to find the correct system for my 2018 Toyota Camry. I was very pleased that the website confirmed the fitment and provided the whole kit with not just the towers and cross bars but also the clips to mount to a naked roof. So far the mounting was pretty straightforward as long as you follow the directions thoroughly. I drove 5 hours through a wind storm in SoCal with a box mounted and the system held up perfectly fine with no issues or hiccups. 10/10 recommend.
Great service
Fit perfect & quick delivery
Worded as described easy ordering will order again
Perfect fit for our car, much better than any OEM rack I've ever seen.
Easy to order parts specific to our 2017 Ford Edge Titanium. Ford does not offer a rack on this model due to sunroof. Install was straight forward and looks/works great. Thanks.
Base clips arrived quickly and worked just as expected. Make sure you know the model that you need before ordering.
I ordered these specifically for my vehicle and they fit perfectly. Clear instructions for installation and a coating that won't leave marks on my vehicle.
The crossbars are light and very strong. They fit perfectly and installed easily.
Dealing with etrailer has been very easy. The first roof rack was incorrect and they worked with us immediately to get it resolved. In hindsight I am glad as the Yakima is a much better quality and works great with our car.
Thanks!
Great product, easy to install, very happy with etrailers shipping.
Had two different vehicles to get ready for two different trips and Joshua diligently tracked dow the correct Yakima accessories and backorder challenges. No other provider came close to this level of service. Excellent work! Both trips made better!
All aspects of the purchase and installation were great. Based on the information provided on the etrailer.com website, I had a high level of confidence that I was purchasing the correct product(s) for my vehicle. The installation was relatively simple and straightforward and the rack is rock solid on my roof. It appears that I did a great job of following the directions :)
Yakima towers and crossbars were solid and easy to install with the very well written instructions. We used them on 2 cross country trips with any loosening. They were easy to remove. We plan to use them again as the need arises.
Very happy with the Yakima roof top rack kit for my 2017 Ford Edge with glass roof. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but after reading through them a couple of times while working with the product they became much clearer. The Yakima fit site was helpful as well. After the initial cross bar mounting measurements and set up, attaching and detaching the racks from the roof is a very simple process.
I was able to use these clips to mount a roof rack and roof box on my Audi that had a naked roof, and they did the job! I took it on a 1,200 mile road trip and after I returned there wasn’t any damage to the paint, and even though there are rubber inserts on the inside of the clip to prevent scratches I was still a bit surprised.
If you don’t have roof rails on your car, these definitely help!
